Part of me thinks that call was practically considered a gimme TD and s nice way to boost the Russell Wilson narrative. Obviously I'm sure that's not the case, but that's the only thing that even remotely makes sense. There is just no angle where it makes sense. Even if you wanted to throw the ball down there for whatever stupid reason, you do it outside where either it's a catch or no ones ball. As it was, you have a receiver running into traffic, with a very tight bunch of players around. Even if Butler only knocks it up in the air it's likely an interception. It's just a play you don't do - ever.

It's just a play you don't do - ever. Exactly this. It's not just that they called a pass, but that's just about the riskiest pass play to call in that spot. You throw a fade to the corner, or go play action while you sneak the TE out the backside. Or, or... You hand the fucking ball to Lynch and put your t-shirts on.
