Wow and Bevell has the nerve to say 83 could have attacked more. Bush League.
Lynch probably would have attacked pretty hard.

That was the WORST call I ever saw in my life! That's all I have to say about that

Just the wrong play call. If you want to throw it, why that call? Make zero sense. Even as a foreigner to the game, I could tell it was just the wrong call as soon as Rusty threw it.

I'm proud to say I never once wanted that asshole as HC.... We need an offensive mind, they say... Idzik deserves his binkie they say... me neither - I'm on record as seattle's offense not impressing me they were VERY lucky to get out of the NFC game on top, their luck just ran out Agreed. I do really like Russell Wilson though. He is a gutsy performer and a very good QB. If he had the weapons he needed at WR, the offense would of been MUCH better.

You run that ball 100 out of 100 times.
Seattle lost the game more than New England won it in my opinion. 2nd down, inside the 2 yard line, with timeouts? I've heard Carroll's explanation but if you want to "waste a play" then roll out Wilson and have him chuck it into the 5th row of the stands.
Seattle did everything but close out the game. They were holding the dagger and instead of stabbing their opponent in the heart they put the dagger back in their pocket.

Well I didn't really understand it, but something about their goal line guys being lined up and they didn't think they could get past them? His logic was this.... Seattle had pass personnel in the game to try to spread the Flats* out. I think it was a TE and 3 WRs, plus Lynch. They expected the Flats* to match up for pass, but the Flats* stayed in goal line with something like 8 defensive linemen and LBs. So Seattle had a great matchup for a pass and the idea was to essentially "waste a play" likely with an incomplete pass but if they score then great. Carroll said he didn't like the matchup of trying to spread them out and then when the Flats* didn't spread out and still stayed stacked he wasn't going to run into that (potentially losing yards). If you look at the replay Lockette was open on the break. Butler made a fantastic play on the ball. I'd probably throw that ball too if it was a passing play. The difference is that I don't think I'd call a pass play.

Their game does not rely on the vertical deep threat, don't know what kind of Wr you think they need

In fact, you could say Baltimore and Seattle handed the games to NE and the one game NE won big over Indy had deflated balls. What a weird playoff season!

He is a good deep threat, great speed but not a legit starter....Matthews? he was unemployed for most of the year...what are you talking about?

That whole offensive plan last night sucked. SEA played scared on offense the whole game and that last play fit right into it. If SEA hadn't picked up those interceptions the game would have been a blowout.

If SEA hadn't picked up those interceptions the game would have been a blowout. I don't completely agree with that. Wilson was throwing deeper than I expected a few times. Actually, he did it more than I thought he would against a very good NE secondary. I'm not sure what you mean by Seattle "playing scared on offense the whole game" because I think playing scared would be playing conservative. I do think they could have tried to read-option Wilson a little bit more. Seattle was humming on all cylinders in the 3rd quarter. And, if not for a boneheaded playcall to end the game, Seattle put up 31 points on New England last night.
