I had always been nervous that we jumped the gun and should have waited for Quinn, but after the last 2 games, I'm glad we didn't.
The Seahawks D doesn't adjust to anything. Their talent usually just suffocates people, but McDaniels out schemes and exploited his D in the final 30 minutes and he just stood flat footed and hopedthe old standby would turn the tide. It didn't.

It was incredibly frustrating to watch Tom Brady make the same short sideways throw over and over, and not a single seahawk do anything about it

Gronk and Edelman are both great players. Impossible to cover in man coverage. Pats stood away from Sherman and let their guys win their battles.

It's no secret that Brady's whole game at this point is quick throws 10yards deep or less - and 80% of them to the flats. That's all Brady is at this point - but he fantastic at it. Take away that and have him put the ball in the middle of field - and see what bad stuff happened: INTs, some missed throws, a couple of balls in the dirt. There's just no excuse to not making an adjustment. Also - run the fcking rock in and score the TD. The way Brady throws the ball these days, they aren't coming back even for a FG with 30 secs left and needing 40-50yds just to try a 50+ FG

Why not out Sherman on Edelman? Edelman is a tough cover for anybody when he is in the slot and running option routes. Also, Sherman doesn't move around much and plays only one side of the field which is why CBs like Revis and Peterson knock him.

Seattle's coaching staff is overrated, IMO. They prefer to have a hands-off approach and let the talent flow which is great and all, but when you're up against a superior opponent, the failure to make adjustments is fatal.
Obviously I'd take Carroll in a heartbeat as HC, but the co-ordinators aren't all that special. The drafting is what has made Seattle as dominant as they are.

Agreed
Seattle just lines up and tries to strong arm you.
That's all fine and good when you have the likes of Sherman, Chancellor, Thomas, Maxwell, Wagner, Bennett, Wright, etc...but when you try that shit with mostly middling talent, things aren't going to go so smooth.
Bowles on the other hand is known for his exotic schemes and blitzes. He might be the one defensive mind in football that is more aggressive than Rex.
That's essentially what Bowles is. The defensive equivalent of Rex Ryan without the clownish persona, coddling of players or total disregard for offense.

Brady played almost the same game that Manning did last year. Look at the completion numbers. The difference was that the Seahawks didn't tackle as well and they didn't get the plays on offense and special teams that they did last year. That pass out to the flat was there all game for Manning too. It didn't really matter because they rarely got more than 3 yards on it. Seattle always gives you that, with the confidence that they'll make the tackle.
