Our Jets defense held up better than the Hawks last night against The Cheaters.. Granted The Hawks gave the game away, but Quinn and his game plan and adjustments were horrible.
Quinn's defense was good because of talent, not coaching.

Bowles is the only reason I have a flicker of excitement in me after last night.

Bevell will go down as having made the single worst call in NFL SuperBowl history, but Dan Quinn sucked more yesterday. Throughout the second half, he had Gronkowski "covered" by a single linebacker. At least Bowles proved he could make chicken salad out off chicken shit after all his injuries on defense this season. Quinn walked into a terrific defensive roster when he started as DC in Seattle and developed no one. His being a hot commodity for head coach was more a matter of being the right guy to be DC in the right place at the right time. As much as Bevell fucked up on the goal line... Quinn fucked up throughout the second half.
Good luck to Falcons fans. You may need it. Quinn was exposed.

Bowles has much more experience than Quinn and made some great hires on the defense side of the ball. I am looking forward to see how Bowles puts this team together. Every team Bowles has been on he has made a positive impact, hopefully we don't rush him out the door if he dosent win right away.

Seattle got out-coached plain and simple. Their talent is the reason why they are as good as they are. As much as we hate on Rex, if we gave him Seattle's playmakers on D, he would have had the Jets in SB contention almost every year.
I'm really excited to see what Bowles can do. He did more with way less in Arizona. If we can shore up the CB and S position in the off-season, our defense is gonna be really, really good.

Bowles had one of the best secondaries in the league. If we had Peterson and Cro at the corner with the Honey Badger we'd have been fine. We went into the season with Milliner and Patterson as our starters and ended up switching a FS to CB and pick up street free agent mid season to cover for the lack of depth. What we learned from yesterday is you need elite CBs in today's NFL. The Flats* brought the best CB this offseason in Revis as well as Browner. They shut down the SEA passing attack. We got shredded by basically all the elite QBs this season

Lost in all this - why did Seattle dump Harvin? It would have been no contest if the Seahawks still had him on the roster.

We got shredded by basically all the elite QBs this season The Seahawks had the #1 secondary in football and SparklePony picked them apart with a slot WR and TE. Too many times you saw the Seahawks getting stuck in defensive calls that isolated a Edelman or Gronk on an ILB and as soon as SparklePony saw that they went right to that matchup. Quinn failed to adjust to it at all. Now if you compare secondaries the Seahawks secondary is much better than the Cardinals even with the Cardinals having a very good secondary. Bowles lost his best linebacker and defensive lineman before the season ever started and still was able to hold his opponents to the 5th least amount of points on the season. What Bowles did this season compared to Quinn was much better. That is why he won assistant coach of the year and Quinn didn't.

Lots of talk that he was a distraction for that team. I don't know the guy so I can't judge but one thing's for sure, Seattle was a yard from winning the SB and they didn't lose it because Harvin wasn't there. JMHO.
