Bowles has much more experience than Quinn and made some great hires on the defense side of the ball. I am looking forward to see how Bowles puts this team together. Every team Bowles has been on he has made a positive impact, hopefully we don't rush him out the door if he dosent win right away. Like Rex Ryan. Maybe Woody is finally learning.

Love Bowles hiring, but to be fair, Quinn sounded very sharp in his press conference this AM and really projected competence and a firm idea of what he wants to do.
It also seemed clear he would have gone ATL either way...

I think both guys will be fine. I'm just happy we got the guy (on paper) that put together a good staff.

Seattle got out-coached plain and simple. Their talent is the reason why they are as good as they are. As much as we hate on Rex, if we gave him Seattle's playmakers on D, he would have had the Jets in SB contention almost every year.
I'm really excited to see what Bowles can do. He did more with way less in Arizona. If we can shore up the CB and S position in the off-season, our defense is gonna be really, really good. So you think that Rex is not as good as Carroll because he does have his team in SB competition every year, not almost every year.

It also seemed clear he would have gone ATL either way... i do not buy that .. what makes you think he would let you feel now after signing the paper that he is not thinking ATL is us capital?

Like you say there's no way to determine whether ATL where his 1st choice, he's going to say that now. Great move by the Jets to pull the trigger on Bowles and not leave their fate in Quinns hands. WTF korn ferry have done to earn their pay check I don't know.

During the press conference he pointed at someone (i think a journo) and said he had told them from early on atl was his pick. Or atleast thats how i understood his response to the question....
Im delighted w Bowles, dont think thats mutually exclusive from being impressed by quinns presser.

Did anyone ask Quinn about all the times they had the Patriots in 2nd & long and 3rd & long situations in the 4th Q and how every time they let them off the hook? Did they ask him about the coverage mismatch/mishap on the Gronk TD?

Did they ask him about the coverage mismatch/mishap on the Gronk TD? I can answer that for him. By the time any of that happened, he had a severely injured Chancellor (torn MCL), the already Tommy John bound richard Sherman and the grisly wrist injury to Jeremy Lane. Jeremy Lane's sub immediately allowed a pair of TDs. Edelman and Vereen are out there catching everything. He didn't have the manpower to defend Gronk. Tried to get away with a slow LB and Gronkowski left him in the dust. When Lane went down, the secondary was running on fumes. Quinn had no answer for the hobbled Chancellor and Sherman. But I don't blame the lack of depth in the secondary on Quinn. That's a lack of depth in personnel. Blame the GM and HC. It was easy pickings for Brad-y, whose Oline did a good job protecting him. For the record, I would have been happy with either Quinn or Bowles, but after seeing and listening to Bowles, I am delighted with the choice. Bowles demonstrated that he could adjust to major injuries throughout the season in Arizona. He is universally liked. Like Rex. He is also comes off highly professional, intelligent, deliberate with a strong ability to adapt to changes to the situation, all unlike Rex.

I just wish he would have sent some guys out there to injure some cheaters. Gotta do better than the concussion.... They took out Avril and didn't even test the bitch Edelmen. Fuckin pussy fucker was concussed as hell and everyone could see it. I wanna see this year as the year Brady is severely injured and it ends his career for good. And I want to see it very early in the season.

Iam really happy with the Bowels hire.At first i was heh not to sure but now i see all the pros about the hire players coach ,etc.etc. No nonsence type of guy ithink the players were really starting to get laxed with rex..Iam really glad we cleaned house from top to bottom! I know we cant really tell yet but i get the feeling this new regime will finally get it right. And will be around for along time.

Easy on Quinn. All three of his best cover guys are requiring surgery, and the fourth one that was healthy broke his arm early in the game. It completely changed the game IMO.

It also seemed clear he would have gone ATL either way... That sounds promising. The one thing that didn't inspire me with confidence about Bowles is that I didn't get any sense of him having a "firm idea of what he wants to do".
