Both are just about the same age and have been in the league for a similar period of time. However, when you look at the playoffs this year, Manning just about declined right before our eyes whereas SparklePony took his team to the SB. SparklePony was never a physical freak or anything like that, yet it seems like he's only declined slightly in the last few years. Manning? It was like watching a high school QB with the way he could barely throw the ball. What do you think it was?

David Wells was a fat fck who pitched 8IP and complete games until he was 43 (or so). Some people's bodies are just more resiliant.
And all that Papa John's Forehead eats . . .

Maybe the 12 neck surgeries he's had could have had something to do with it. I think he had a pulled groin during the playoffs too. Manning also has played 3 more seasons than Brady has.

Uhh The fucking neck injury in 2006 that already started to diminish his arm power and then the surgery on his Fucking Neck in 2010 might just might have something to do with it. Maybe...possibly

Then how do you explain his all-time great season in 2013?

Then how do you explain his all-time great season in 2013? Are you fucking trolling here or what? Is that a serious question?

Then how do you explain his all-time great season in 2013? All athletes break down eventually. Some sooner than other. Everyone is different. I don't know what else you want people to say. The guys played in 250 nfl games since the late 90's and he's probably the best regular season qb of all time. It eventually has to end at some point.

Then how do you explain his all-time great season in 2013? A year off and a stacked offense can do wonders for anyone. . . And you are also missing the point that SparklePony's game is getting to be extremely limited - he throws quick slants and outs - and that's about the only area he is a superior thrower these days. But he has adjusted and compensated by becoming really really good at that short game. And his team has adjusted by building an offense around what SparklePony does well. Make no mistake, SparklePony IS in decline. I want to see Bowles (and Rex) start to force SparklePony to play the downfield game he isn't as good at anymore. SparklePony's an all-time great - but the Flats* have also feasted on an historically weak AFC East for most of a decade.

It just seems odd to me that the guy literally broke down that quickly. I don't think I've ever seen a pro athlete decline that quickly over the span of a single game. It's like M.anning went from GOAT to CFL backup in 60 minutes.
BTW, I think M.anning deserves more respect than to have his name auto-changed to "Forehead". Brady is fair game, though.

Why does he deserve more respect? Does he play for the Jets?

First of all Manning became a starter in 1998 while Brady only came in during the 2001 season. Three years can make a big difference in an NFL career--for some it is the entire career--especially for an older QB.
Second, Manning had a leg or groin injury that he played through. Just because he was on the field doesn't mean the injury wasn't affecting his game. Let's see how he comes back next year. He may have another 2013-type season after recovering from the injury in the offseason.

I've lost many of bets as proof.
