Both are just about the same age and have been in the league for a similar period of time. However, when you look at the playoffs this year, M.anning just about declined right before our eyes whereas SparklePony took his team to the SB. SparklePony was never a physical freak or anything like that, yet it seems like he's only declined slightly in the last few years. M.anning? It was like watching a high school QB with the way he could barely throw the ball. What do you think it was? UH, surgeries? You ask the dumbest questions.

Running backs break down over night. Very short shelf life in this league. QBs take enough shots that I'm surpised they last as long as they do.
For Manning to be playing at all is already fairly amazing considering the neck injury he came back from. And he was injured to close out this season.
You bring up a good point about Brady though. He is quite the queer.

Recently it seems to me the league does everything it can to stop QB's getting hit, it's as if they are off limits, especially the top tier ones.

They are definitely protecting the QB like never before. It is definitely a passing league and it seems they aim to keep it that way. Sucks because you can't breathe on some of these QBs without a flag/fine. Frankly I'm shocked there weren't more flags thrown in the SB for roughing the passer. Brady took some clean shots that would have easily been flags in the regular season.

BTW, I think M.anning deserves more respect than to have his name auto-changed to "Forehead". SparklePony is fair game, though. You're right. I changed it.

Did you not see Mr. Manning's 2013 season?

UH, surgeries? You ask the dumbest questions. Sorry, that's no excuse. Did you not see Mr. Mr. Forehead's 2013 season? Stop looking at the numbers. Even in 2013, Manning's arm was shot. He couldn't attack deep down the sideline anymore. Everything was short or over the middle. He's been able to compensate for his deteriorating physical abilities because he's the best QB before the snap in the history of the league. In the Super Bowl, Brady squeezed some passes through some very small windows. Those were the handful of throws that Manning couldn't make last year. His passes were also getting out to the flat a split second before Manning's were, which aided his receivers' ability to get yards after the catch. Once upon a time, Manning had the stronger arm of the two. Now, while Brady's arm isn't what it was, Manning is a certified noodle arm.

He works extremely hard at his vocation. I don't know if Peyton does or not, but PM has had some issues with his neck and that could be his problem.

I agree, Brady definitely works out his throat neck.
