He went from 293 to 208. Of course no one in the NFL uses any drugs!!! Right??? It's totally normal for people to shed 85lbs in 5 months by 'working out' and 'normalizing calorie intake'. ftw.usatoday.com/2015/02/chargers-center-lost-85-pounds-nick-hardwickI mean, good for him - I like to see ex-NFLers go back to a normal and healthy life. But wow - it just makes you think ...... Dude was playing mostly at 305 at 6'4" and was out with a neck injury and was able to plummet in weight up to his press conference announcing his retirement.

Definitely doable. Not sure if it is healthy. If you look at his body type he is probably naturaly lean and had to eat a lot to stay at 290, which is small for a an OL nowadays.
Too bad he cant shed those awful tattoos.

Plus as to the OP's statement "sure nobody does drugs in the NFL" it doesn't seem like this is something even heavily denied by the players or even the NFL. HE actually looks kind of svelte in the picture for a center, compared to say, someone like Mangold

Came to camp as a report in July of 2014 and his teammates did not even recognize him at first. Dud lost over 100 lbs. 'roids man, it's all in the chemistry of football. Back in the day a lineman would retire and fight not to gain 100 lbs.

And I've barely lost 17 in close to the same amount of time. Fuck you Nick Harddick.

I dunno, some of these guys are eating an obscene amount of calories to keep that weight on. The ones that retire and dont change their habits get fat, but if a guy went back to a normal caloric intake, I could see them dropping a lot of weight pretty fast.
