Looks like a sun roof and some barcaloungers. I just don't get all these stadiums with lounge areas, etc. that take you away from the game.
Maybe thats OK if you are forced to watch the Dolphins.

Hopefully the teal seats will do a better job than the orange seats at hiding the 1/4 full stadium... because the orange ones made it painfully obvious.

Looks like a great place to do alot of activities and watch some college football international soccer and concerts. Perfect for dolphin fans.

All those renovations to the stadium when the biggest area that needs renovation is their fans. $400 million wasted on the tied for worst football fans in the league (Jaguars).

I think all of the warm weather stadiums will eventually go this route. There's a couple reasons why. First, the stadiums are trying to shift towards somewhere you visit early or stay late in the bars/lounges/restaurants because it's easy to get people to stick around and spend money. You already have them conditioned to pay a premium on drinks and foods so all you need to do is condition them to think about the stadium as somewhere to hang out and relax rather than be cramped in a small plastic seat. Second, teams realize to keep making money they have to keep raising prices and pricing out working people to bring more SARs. These are people who aren't quite wealthy enough to rent out luxury boxes but also aren't going to keep spending an increasing amount of money to sit in a plastic seat and watch the game intently. Those guys have to be courted with a more luxurious experience even at the expense of giving up prime seat space. The stadiums can charge an extra fee to gain access to an exclusive area like those stupid lounges. Keep in mind that lots of these people like to say they went to the game and will high five on the touchdowns and brag about wins but don't really care about the actual game.

Good points. You are right of course...but its sad to see the actually game relegated to just part of "an experience." If you want food and drink and a big screen, why not stay at home and save a mint?

Being in Florida and going to the Jets/Fins shames the last two years really was eye opening to a long time Jets STH. Their fans show no support. Two years ago was really fucked ip given it was a win and make the playoffs scenario for them I almost felt bad for the fans a was talking with as 60% of the stadium was chanting J E T S, JETS, JETS, JETS!
