When Revis said he wanted to remain a jet he meant Rex's Jets. Look for him to target Buffalo. Can't believe no one gets this.

Ya I know huh? And where'd it get him? Only 6 SB appearances. What a scrub. If he could only master the draft as well as the Jests. Amiright? Yeah it would be nice to hit the lottery on a 6th round QB. Most of the rest is a total meh There's one "meh" player your fellow Jets fans are jizzing over trying to acquire in about a week.

We got fairly compensated for his departure so how can we complain about losing him? Sheldon is a beast. Revis was great here and if he comes back that would be cool. But I like what Woody has done here. He's not stupid, people that earned that kind of fortune aren't in the business of doing stupid shit. He's cleverly declared a psychological war on the Patriots and he gave the greedy Revis camp all the leverage. The Patriots can only lose now. They either own up and pay Revis 20M, thus making their team weaker by losing substantial cap space or they lose Revis out right to the highest bidder in Free Agency. There's no winning for them. And the Jets are in a win/win situation because the Flats* are already preparing for the worst by not franchise tagging McCourty. Say what you want, but Woody Johnson has calculated his every move in my opinion and it's just awesome! Wait, wait, wait... so BB is capable of coordinating an extensive, unbelievably comprehensive operation to steal signals from every opposing NFL team with only a slap on the wrist punishment, can then on top of that conduct a far-reaching operation to strategically deflate his offense's balls for 7+ years (where the opposing team has held the ball at least 175+ times), all the while getting away with it, and yet... he's going to get hoodwinked by Revis. LOL. Either BB and his benefactor Kraft are evil geniuses or they're not. There is no leverage to be gained. If Revis walks, BB got all he wanted out of Revis... which, given the season's outcome, was an A+ move. There is no universe in which Revis "beats" BB and yet BB "beats" the rest of the league.

They had around $25 million to spend before they took on McCoy's contract. Now that's down to around $17 million and they still have to take care of guys like Hughes, Searcy, Chandler, etc and they still need to add a veteran QB. Revis is either staying in New England or coming back here if Woody loosens the purse strings.

Dear VTN: Knit more, post less. LOL.... WTF are you doing here?! You must really be kind of a loser brah. I mean... If I were a fagtriots fan, I'd probably be circlejerkin on the flats forums or some shit... or like, commenting on ESPN facebook or something... Nobody even listens to you here AFAICT, and the only reason Deuce is here is because not even his own kind like him, and 32Green accidentally gave him CPR at Giants stadium once... So what's YOUR story?!

Wouldn't suprise me to see Tanny in Miami go after Revis, he has been releasing players freeing up cap space and they need a CB. The Dolphins have just over $9 million in cap space right now. Over half of that has to go to the draft. They are in a world of shit right now and there is no way they can sign any top free agent at this point. The Fins aren't done releasing players they will release Wheeler and a couple other Defensive players too free up cap space.

Revis is a great CB no doubt but in my book he can go suck a fat one. Let him fleece another team I don't want him back. The guy goes to NE wins a Super Bowl, and good for him but why do we need to be chasing him like a bunch of goofs regretting we let him go in the first place. Fuck that move on, Bowles was a DB in the NFL he can find us a CB.

Metha's story on Woody hunkering down with his crew to draw Revis back into the fold, I am guessing ... is just purposeful posturing by the Jets. They likely have already put a large bid on Revis under the table but the fact is they likely want to ensure that the Pats pay top price rather than anything else. I don't see Revis leaving the Pats if he can get top dollar.
Why the Jets are putting a bid on Revis is to put as much pressure on the Super Bowl Champions salary cap as possible. For the same reason they likely have a bid on Devin McCourty ... whom they may be more serious about pursuing.
I would be perfectly happy with Maxwell and McCourty. Even Chris Culliver (who is an ass wipe but grades well) and McCourty would be sweet. Top it off with a return of Cromartie on a two year deal and I would be happy.

The calculation should have resulted in re-signing Revis LAST YEAR....before he went to New England, before he won a Super Bowl, before the Jets fell on their face while starting two Cornerbacks that nobody ever heard of! Maybe Woody is doing the "new Math" or some Common Core bologna but I don't like the result of his calculation. Idzik screwed that up. Even Rex was pissed about it. It's probably one of the litany of reasons as to why he was fired.

Maybe this is what's meant by a creative offer from the Jets to Revis?

Woody needs to stay the fuck out of personnel decisions THIS...... Woody was behind Tebow IMO and he should sit the fuck back. J and J won't let him near the business for good reason. Tebow was a great move, he was just poorly utilized by Rex and that dumbfuck Sparano.
