La Canfora says the Jets are going after Iupati Nice. I'm not thrilled with what I've heard about his pass protection but there's no doubt he would be a big upgrade. I hope he isn't the end of what we do on the OLine in FA.

Does the McCourty signing by NE make it more or less likely that Revis returns to the Patriots? Part of me says NE only does that deal in a way that lets them retain Revis....the other part of me says they knew they couldn't keep both and wanted to make sure that they bagged McCourty to stay with Brandon Browner even if it means leaving little $$ for Revis.

I hope he isn't the end of what we do on the OLine in FA. He's average to above average in pass pro, but he's probably one of the Top 3 interior roadgraders in the game. He was my #1 target for a long time until I got sucked up into the Revis fiasco. A 27 year old, 4 time pro-bowler who can be a cornerstone on the OL even after we move on from Brick and Mangold.

I'll be praying on this
49ers trade Kap to Philly for Foles and a pick...Jets take Mariota at #6.

The amount of shit that's gone on before FA this year is insane Wonder if the NFL will conitinue to have this legal tampering period. Was supposed to be no contract negotiations, no visits scheduled, but teams could begin discussions. Seems like a lot more is happening than the NFL bargained for. How cana guy agree to terms witha team without visiting the facility, meeting the coach, coordinators, etc. Unless they are only looking for the richest deal.

Not sure what his source is or if it is credible, but:
I would rather see us bring in Fitzpatrick anyway -- based on the history with Gailey and his experience.

I'd prefer to have Hoyer, who is younger and seems to be the Jets' preference, rather than have to rely on whatever guy O'Brien and the Texans don't want. I do like Fitz - always have - but it's clear he would be a fall-back option for us.

We already have the young guy in Geno -- I would prefer to see an experienced veteran paired with him rather than another young guy who is just as much of a question mark as Geno. Looks like Hoyer is still in play.

Clocks ticking big names are off the list at corner , make the deal for revis by tonight to tomorrow morning , if he goes we're screwed with the thought of doubt next season, and news on dee milliners health? Culliver, House, cox, Cromartie and Skrine all very similar to the CB's who have gone already. And Revis is still on the Patriots, they haven't released him yet. But they may soon after seeing this: McCourty took less money to stay with a winner.

Screw Hoyer. Waste of money. And Fitz is a turnover machine just like our last two QBs.
There is no veteran fix to our QB problems. Vinny isn't walking through the doors again.
Meaningless wins at end of year will keep us on the QB carousel for a loooooong time.

We need someone other than just Geno, and there are not a lot of alternatives out there in either free agency or the draft. Mariota is a possibility at 6, maybe we can pull a draft day deal for Foles, but I don't think we can afford to sit and do nothing while hoping we find our guy on draft day.
