Its a smart move for a front office that has to make the playoffs this year. Philbin has been the example of mediocre in Miami and I don't blame them for throwing a boatload of cash at a player they think can take them over the hump. Do I think the fish make the playoff this year? No, but it is what desperate people do in desperate times.

Who they have to cover Brandon Marshall? Dunno. Who do YOU have to throw to him? Difference is we have cap space to acquire someone

Bad news. Miami's D was really good to begin with and Suh will make them top-five overnight. Now the Jets have to deal with two top-five defenses in the same division, and another that is roughly top-ten. We better get some OL help, or else this team is going to end up as the circus and laughingstock of the AFCE. Get a grip. You are completely reactionary. You should be happy that we got Brandon Marshall and still have money for other needs. And you need to look up the meaning of circus.

I like that he will be in SparkleSparkleBrady's division. Someone needs to end that fraud of a career already. According to you someone on the Jests was suppossed to do this last year, and the year before that and the year before that and.... yeah, you forget that the nfl changed the rules about qb's in 2008 to protect brady. that's why he doesn't get intentional grounding penalties and the defensive players can't even breathe on him.

Typical Tanny. Win the offseason backpage, lose during the season. They are going to have to cut big players just get him in under the cap and then they are done for free agency.

Rumors that after the Dolphins cleared cap, cut WRs, etc. Suh will be a two-way player at DT and slot WR. Stay tuned...

Say what you want about Tanny, but he came damn close two years in a row returning us to the big game. Given Izdick's tenure, I will sign up for Tanny every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Then left us a mess that we're still no closer to cleaning up 4 years down the line. No thanks. Suh signing = dolphins being terrible for the next 5 years even if it works out in the short run (which I doubt because Suh is one guy on a team with multiple issues).

Do I think the fish make the playoff this year? No, but it is what desperate people do in desperate times. While obviously Suh is an upgrade and will make their D better, IMO you only sign a non QB free agent to a deal for that kind of coin if it is the final piece to a championship caliber team. I'm thinking that at the end of the season if you put on tape of the Fins losses, the first thing to come to mind would not be, "If they only had better play at DT those losses would be wins."
