I think everyone is just in panic mode after last year's disaster of an off season. I'm going to at least let the week play out before i start complaining.

I think everyone is just in panic mode after last year's disaster of an off season. I'm going to at least let the week play out before i start complaining. I wouldn't make it more than three days. By then all the Jets will be seeing is the dust from all the teams that have raced past them to pick up the best FA's and pay them top dollar. The pace of deals these days is much faster and more aggressive than even a couple of years ago. The "legal tampering" phase is actually now the "let's make a deal and say we are about to" phase. I fear Revis is going to do to the Jets what DRC and NA did previously... tie them up with big numbers and blockbuster fantasies, then sign with somebody else-- meanwhile their other targets are stolen away in the night. If that shit happens again this year, there will be blood.

While I mostly agree I will say this, Free Agency almost looks like it will END at 4PM tomorrow....not start. The NFL's "legal tampering" approach looks to be a colossal case of screwing the pooch. Telling teams that they can contact players/agents to open dialogue and express interest but not discuss contract terms is like telling FF2 he can go cruise by the buffet table but can't eat anything. Good luck!

Good luck! If you look back in history, most players signed during the first few days of free agency turn out to be mistakes for the signing team. Usually, teams are trying to figure out how they are going to overcome the dead money left when they cut these guys after one or two years.

I told you guys last night the Jets have again for the third year in a row have missed the boat. They have 50 million to spend and have done nothing. This falls on the owner who now I believe after 2 GMs is micromanaging the front office The GM cant make a move unless the Woody give his approval this is why the Jets are not being aggressive. Right now Woody wants Revis and will wait on Revis before doing anything else. Meanwhile again the Jets are relegated to leftover Jags to build around. While people want to excuse this crap I wont The Jets should have grabbed both Byron Maxell and Orlando franklin threw the bank at them. right there would have sent the message to the fans that the Jets are serious about fixing it instead they are sitting on their hands as the free agant pool dries up. After this I now have serious thought that Idzik wasn't the problem or Rex, the owner is.

Maybe the Jets felt a need to be on their best behavior - since we already have one (stupid) tampering charge filed against us.

The Jets are a MASSIVE circus right now, and it's all because we're not being aggressive enough in free agency. We let all these good players go by or, at most, lowball them in order to show "smart" or "shrewd" management. It doesn't always have to be moneyball, you have to spend in the NFL to win.
