Early but fun to see how the roster is taking shape. I'll update as things come up. Pretty sure about everything except the OL situation and CB depth but that's anyone's guess at this point. Can already see some of the more obvious cuts

I've never heard of Keith Lewis or Dashun Phillips, but what happened to Philip Adams?

We're short defensive line depth with Leger Douzable and Kenrick Ellis free agents.
I think Douzable actually played pretty well last year. I'd like to see them bring him back.
If they draft an outside linebacker, maybe they'll bring Coples back to the line.

He's a free agent. Hopefully, we bring him back. But there will be competition for him due to his ST play.

I remember reading in Collision Low Crossers that the Jets regularly received more trade enquiries about Bellore than any other player. I think he will get some solid interest in the 2nd wave of FA now that the big money signings have been made. Hopefully, he sticks around though because his ST value is very high.

Thats really interesting. I have to read that book. Keep putting it off.

i think i'd like to see genooo pushed down to number 3 on the list. this could be matt simms to show something since the new jets coaches have ne ties to genooo. the dline is a little thin. they should bring douzable back. ellis never showed much. coples is big enough to play line

I'm pretty sure that means unless Douzable can be signed for a good price, he's gone. Frankly, I expect Rex to overpay for him, or perhaps he'll get signed by KC where Bob Sutton is running a D similar to Rex's.

Think your giving Antonio Allen short shrift. He was generally considered the Jets best DB coming into the season. After a season of playing out of position and being a good soldier, he's third string? I think not. I'll bet you see a lot of 3 safety looks with Allen and Pryor playing SS/LB hybrids, with Allen also playing press coverage on tight ends

He is big, athletic, and can cover TE's. I am certain that the Jets will have D packages with him and he will likely be on the field plenty against Gronk.
