That oline still needs work.

That oline still needs work. I like that we have a solid secondary but I would have preferred some more resources put into the Oline. We're picking too high to go Oline in the first, I'm really thinking we may be poised to trade down.

Scary thin at ILB. Needs to be addressed urgently. Harris or Davis get dinged and it could get ugly there. D-line too. I know we signed 1 guy but need Douz or Ellis back as well.

So the Jets only have ONE Fullback?
I think they should try and get another.

Think your giving Antonio Allen short shrift. He was generally considered the Jets best DB coming into the season. After a season of playing out of position and being a good soldier, he's third string? I think not. I'll bet you see a lot of 3 safety looks with Allen and Pryor playing SS/LB hybrids, with Allen also playing press coverage on tight ends I love Allen, I just have no idea how he fits into a traditional depth chart with the schemes we'll be running - Jarrett was the 1st string FS before Gilchrist came in so he's third string by default, nothing against him. Fully expect him to see a lot of playing time and maybe even start in a lot of cases. On another note our offense matches up pretty well vs our defense in most places, really helps to see where our major weaknesses lie - Sheldon would destroy the right side of our line and Fitz would be eaten alive by the secondary.

Hopefully they can sign an ILB or 2 on the cheap, or get them in the draft. Cheap guys that can play specials too. Since Bowles plays at least 5 DBs 70% of the time, I dont think we need SUPER depth at ILB, but they do need something.

Something needs to be done about that RG position.

Something needs to be done about that RG position. colon, dozier, winters, aboushi, and a draft pick will likely compete for the spot. hopefully ONE pans out to be a good option.

None of those guys should even be on this team, let alone starting. Aboushi is ok, but he's most likely a career backup. Hopefully we draft someone decent that can win the job.

eh i think it's a little early to go that far but indeed if one of them is no longer with the team i hope it's because another player far outperformed them

We're short defensive line depth with Leger Douzable and Kenrick Ellis free agents. I think Douzable actually played pretty well last year. I'd like to see them bring him back. If they draft an outside linebacker, maybe they'll bring Coples back to the line. In an under the Radar move the Jets signed Ronald Talley DE, who played for Bowles in 2013, on March 4. I'm pretty sure that means unless Douzable can be signed for a good price, he's gone. Frankly, I expect Rex to overpay for him, or perhaps he'll get signed by KC where Bob Sutton is running a D similar to Rex's. I agree about Douzble probably going to Buffalo or KC, but I don't see Talley as a contributor. He last played in the NFL in 2013. He didn't play last year after being cut by Tampa Bay in the pre-season. He wasn't hurt, he washed out. To me, he's a training camp body, nothing more.

If Douzable is not re-signed, it's a good thing Coples can play DE too because the back-up will likely be a late round draft pick or undrafted free agent.

Hey, sometimes undrafted free agents work out. Snacks was one! I'd much rather not have to rely on that, though. I'd like to see Coples moved back to DE. I think he's more effective there. I'd also like to see Douzable re-signed on the cheap. I haven't seen his name mentioned in connection with any team (including the Jets).
