This was actually announced Thursday, but I Haven't seen this anywhere else. Ugh. Great signing for the Fins. Browns and Fins offered same deal, he chose the Fins. Yes he's been injured but it doesn't necessarily seem like it will be a recurring problem.
Fins are keeping transition tag on Clay

Whatever. We have Revis Island to shut him down.

This also means that Clay probably goes to Buffalo. Both teams get an upgrade at TE.

Whatever. We have Revis Island to shut him down. I think it would out of the ordinary for a CB to be on a TE. I could be wrong though

I could be wrong though For the most part, yes, but Revis is extremely physical and has great technique. I can see him shutting down bigger targets like no other CB could. Obviously a guy like Cromartie or Skrine would get destroyed by a TE or physical WR in man coverage. It would be interesting to see if Bowles puts Revis on Gronk or Cameron a couple of times next year.

I bet if Belidick had tried something like that and got away with it, he would have been heralded by the national sports media as an incredible genius.

They will keep the tag on him until Buffalo puts an offer sheet on him. They are just trying to drive up the price on him and make Buffalo's life a little harder.

So you think it would be better to put a corner that usually plays and dominates the outside to cover Cameron instead of Wallace? What are we paying Gilchrist for then?

It will mess up with the Phins gameplanning. They won't see it coming and won't know how to adjust.
