What would it take to get Sproles over here from Philly? After signing Murray and Matthews, it seems like he'd be potentially the odd man out in the Eagles' backfield. And with his shiftiness and pass catching abilities, he'd be the perfect compliment to the bruising style of Ivory.
Anyone think a 6th would get it done? Or do you guys think we'd do better in the draft? Depending on what happens with QB, we're feeling kinda "win now" so I'd take my chances with the veteran guy...

He's worth more then a 6th to Chip. The backs that Chip has now fit with the types of backs he had at OR.

I'd much rather address RB through the draft. As it's been stated plenty, there's a ton of depth in the draft RB wise this year. Additionally, after watching Sproles the past couple of years, I think it's pretty clear he's lost a step. I don't suspect he'll be in the league a whole lot longer.

This is one of the deepest RB classes in recent memory.
No need to go throwing around draft picks and allocating cap space for an aging 3rd down back.

We don't have a 6th anyway.

I don't know how Philly is going to use Sproles with Murrray and Matthews. It would be interesting if they use him as a slot WR.

Very electric player no doubt about it. However I feel good about a ivory powell combo, I think powell will have a breakout year. There's also almost a guarantee we will be addressing this position in the draft as well. So I think we should pass on Sproles, unless they dump him on us. Even then, he's old.
