I'm not a huge fan of C. Patterson's but he's a much better fit for the kind of up tempo, quick hitting offense that Gailey runs. He could be had for a conditional 4th next year I bet at this very moment. Jets would be wise to move on him.
Cheap talent that has untapped potential in the right system.

So you think he's worse the same value as Percy Harvin?

I'd love to sign C-Pat. We need a burner and he could very well be that guy. Said it yesterday, he's way underutilized in Minnesota right now and being forced into basically being the WR1, he'd be slot/WR3 here. So much wasted young potential in that Vikings scheme.

Personally, i don't like any of those gadget-slant-and-go-open-field guys. Harvin, Patterson, Cobb, Austin etc.... not saying there's no place for them, that's just not the Paradis profile. I prefer an Arians power running & down field passing myself. Floyd/Bryant at X and Allen/Crabtree at Z. But, as it stands - that's likely not what we're going to be doing, and Patterson is a good fit (in theory). Gotta roll with the times i suppose.

I'd get him just for the KR/PR possibilities tbh.

If as a KR/PR than yeah, anything else I would stay far far away. Patterson has been highly overhyped no reason to go down that road, and LOL at the dolphags. They pick up a deep threat for a 3rd who isn't as good as Wallace and they trade Wallace and get a fifth. Of course neither matter because Tannehill can't hit the deep pass to save his life.

In Gailey's spread offense his speed would be deadly. He would become a good swiss army knife (KR/PR/gadget offense player). If he could be had for a late pick or a conditional next year pick I would do it.....

I wasn't a fan of Patterson coming out of college, thought he was way over drafted that year. He is still pretty much the same receiver, but if you are not relying on him to be one your main threats he could be serviceable. It's always about value and price, as a first round pick I hated him, but for a conditional late rounder in 2016 it's not the worst idea. He is good with the ball in his hands, it's just a matter of getting him the ball. He still catches the ball like he is afraid of it.

Hated him as a first round pick, thought he was gamble to develop.... As a late round pick in a trade? Sure, think he'd fit well as a #3 in the slot in what Gailey will likely be trying to do.

That was a thin WR draft class, still can't believe that Keenan Allen lasted till the 3rd round, and even more disappointed that Winters was drafted while Allen was on the board.
