Not sure what to make of this, but still I found it interesting. Made me wonder... Does he try too hard at home? Did Rex's "don't fock up" style of Offensive coaching affect Geno's thought process & play?
Confidence, you say? Well, you have to be confident to play well on the road. So I don't think it's that.
Or maybe the stats are meaningless. Any thoughts?
2014 Home/Away Att Comp Pct Yds Avg Lng TD Int 1st 1st% 20+ Sck Rate

Strange. So much for a home field advantage. % and yards are almost the same but the TD:INT ratio is what gets me.

I don't even think you can properly evaluate Geno at this point. When Rex and Co. finally took the handcuffs off him in the last game of the year, he looked like Joe fucking Montana. Hopefully, whoever the QB is this year, Bowles and Gailey don't neuter the shit out of him like Rex tried to do repeatedly.

I think is is too small a sample size to draw any conclusions. If you look at 2013, the reverse is true, he was much better at home than on the road: Value G W L T Cmp Att Cmp% Yds TD Int Rate Y/A Home 8 6 2 0 124 224 55.36 1598 7 8 73.5 7.13 Road 8 2 6 0 123 219 56.16 1448 5 13 59.3 6.61 For his career he is 13 TD 18 Int 57% Completions and 70 Rating at home and 12 TD 16 Int 58% Completions and 73 Rating on the road. Not much difference when you look at the two season combined.

I think that week 17 game against Miami boosted his road stats a bit. 158.3 QBR.
