Lots of TEs off the board this year - seems higher than most years? Looks like we had a little bit of a run on TEs earlier in this round. Almost like a fantasy draft. TEs start coming off the board -- if you need one you grab one. Sometimes I think we get a little to hung up on need in these mocks (at least I have a tendency to) and miss out on a better player to draft someone who fills a need on a roster.

These are always primarily need-based decisions, particularly beyond the first few rounds. Few of us have the talent evaluation skills of the pro scouts and GMs. We can look at videos, highlight reels, read scouting reports and the predictions of so-called "expert" pundits. We can see which players have expiring contracts and how much dead money would hit if released when replaced by one of our picks. I like spotrac.com to look at contract terms and dead money. For these mocks, it's much easier to make picks based on need at the position and financial considerations.. i.e. the Bengals have a pair of starting corners entering the final years of their contracts. Links: Leon Hall contract. Dre Kirkpatrick contract. Neither has been extended. And there is only last year's 1st round pick, Dennard, on the roster behind them for the moment. They need to groom another CB or two in addition to Dennard, which is why I quickly traded up to take the best CB left on the board after taking over GM duties for Cincinnati yesterday. Again, all need-based. But it's fun.

I'll get my pick up in a little bit. Had to drive my mother to the doctors, just have to drop her off at her house, do a little research and then make my selection. Sorry for the delay.

Really love the Chris Hackett pick. His game tape is good, but his 4.81 40 time scared me. That was the slowest time out of all the DBs. I've been searching for his pro day results, but I can't find anything.

I've been searching for his pro day results, but I can't find anything. TCU Pro Day 2015TCU had their pro day today apparently. Chris Hackett ran a 4.53 40 yard dash. Almost 3/10 of a second faster than the combine. The Seahawks just stole him in the compensatory portion of round 4. Damn.

Sorry I missed my pick. thanks for picking Lith. I had to be offline for a while and I thought my next pick was mid 5th for Miami. For some reason, my list of cinci picks didnt have the 5th round comp on it. I must have forgot about it. My bad

Looking at Bengals roster, appeared to have a gaping hole at Center -- I thought they could use another, so I took CBS highest rated center on the board -- Andy Gallik. At least that what my 5 minute analysis and a quick PM to their former GM (RobR) told me. No need to PM, as long as I know you didn't bail on us,

I just added punters and kickers to the player list in the spreadsheet. They were not included in Pauline's rankings -- the top 10 punter & kicker prospects according to CBS rankings are now in the sheet.

Do the St LOUIS rAMs ever get another pick this draft? Comp pick at the end of the 6th, And 2 7ths. Between a couple of real life trades, and the mock trade with the Jets, not much action for the Rams in this draft.

Do the St LOUIS rAMs ever get another pick this draft? Niece, are you also related to Ditka? Looks like you traded your whole draft for Mariota and a safety. You might get fired faster than Idzik.
