I'd put it more to the fact that he was in his first "confident" year after surgery. He'll probably only get better this year. What makes Revis great never was hinged on his speed.

It's funny, that first GIF they use to illustrate Revis getting beat (by Wallace) is the same one Jets fans used to show that the Patriot Revis wasn't the Revis of old, early last season. Someone even used it in their sig. I guess now that he's a Jet it won't count, because the receiver went out of bounds. I think the Jets bought very high.

I don't disagree but paying a premium only bothers me when it starts to impact our ability to pay others. For example, if the Jets say they can't extend Mo because they're paying Revis then I get concerned. But we don't seem to be anywhere near there yet. And I agree, he's not 2010 Revis but he's still a Top 3 CB and we were hurting at that position. I'm happy to have him back.

I think he will never be "video game" good again but he'll be fine. Feel the same way about B. Marshall and felt that way about Cotch, would still be very effective even when some speed loss occurs.

Sherman is the best corner in the game, with Revis an extremely close second. I look at it as a 1A, 1B relationship. After those guys, there is a solid dropoff to #2 and #3.

Is it because Sherman runs in front of any camera or microphone and screams like a moron into it that he is the best? Because he isn't. He is the loudest though, I'll give him that.
