Anybody hear the Revis interview on the Michael Kay show a few hours ago? He was asked about the Super bowl, a very straightforward question about whether he was surprised (like the rest of the entire planet) when the Seahawks didn't hand off the ball to Marshawn Lynch but threw it instead. Easy question, right? "Yeah man handing it off was such an obvious move we were all expecting him to get it" blah blah blah, right? Wrong. There was a long, really awkward pause while he tried to figure out what to say, and finally said something noncommital. It was weird, almost as if he (and the team) knew more than they were supposed to and he was trying to figure out what to say not to trip over himself. like - they DID know Lynch wasn't getting it. He is a very poor speaker and never gives a good interview but this was exceptional. Oh, and he called the new coach Tom. (the Jets PR guy corrected him on the other line and he then said Todd. Geez). He also apologized with the excuse that he had some gas. WTF?

He's not great with live interviews. I remember that infamous Francesscer innaview when big Mike harrassed him into trying to admit that he was "mugging" Brandon Marshall during the Dolphins game. That was ugly.

He was probably on his phone and wasn't paying attention. Sounds like having a conversation with my kid.

Here is a link: espn.go.com/new-york/radio/show?showId=TMKSI am going to have to check this one out. In fairness, he's a football player, not an orator. I think they knew they weren't handing it off based on the formation. Also Seattle looks to pass against the type of front the Flats* were showing. The Flats* DBs recognized the formation and the play. Browner bumped his man and that allowed Butler to jump the route. That said, they should have run the ball into an 11 man front. Nobody was stopping Lynch there.

Meh...
Carrol chose the play after seeing the Pats send out their GL defense. Butler said he recognized the formation, jumped the route. FML.
BB still a scumbag. Where's RussianGreen?

Why do th defense a favor and tell them that they don;t have to worry about the run. From that close if it's even a decent fake they have to sell out. Play action, roll out, find wide open receiver(s), worst case throw into into the stands, have 2 more downs. of course, if Wilson did not have to waste 2 timeouts on that possession they could have run the ball all 4 times if they wanted to. Have been wondering if Revis comes back if NE loses that game. Does make it easier to take the money with a ring already. His history suggests that he still would have come back if we blew away Rats* offer though.
