Didn't sound strange at all, he knows he could end up anywhere and is trying to be the politician by never insulting someone. He had a great line at the end when the producer said he had put away a #24 jersey 6 years ago that now fit his son. Revis: "I'm just pleased you didn't burn it" LOL

Exactly, and there no run fake, no attempt to fool NE at all. I always, always hate that type of formation inside the 5, let alone the 1. Why do th defense a favor and tell them that they don;t have to worry about the run. From that close if it's even a decent fake they have to sell out. Play action, roll out, find wide open receiver(s), worst case throw into into the stands, have 2 more downs. of course, if Wilson did not have to waste 2 timeouts on that possession they could have run the ball all 4 times if they wanted to. Have been wondering if Revis comes back if NE loses that game. Does make it easier to take the money with a ring already. His history suggests that he still would have come back if we blew away Rats* offer though. i don't know except that wilson was definitely late throwing the ball and it was a little too high. of course the way butler took out the receiver it is doubtful if the guy would've caught it or even have gotten in the end zone. carroll's excuse was pretty lame about not having enough time or time outs to try a run. it also almost looks like wilson had one defender on the right side and he was tied up with the oline. he could have run it in. give butler credit. he saw something that told him where the ball was going and he played it great. Butler deserves a tomn of credit, as does browner. Not the point, the play never should have seen the light of day. Run Beast Mode again on 2nd, run play action/Wilson option to run on 3rd, one of those options on 4th if needed. Win the game and break NE hearts again. Opportunity lost....
