On JI there was a thread where I talked about how you couldn't purposefully tank the season because it would have lasting effects on the players and the culture of the team. People said I was a dumby. Turns out they were the dumbys.
This is why you can't just tank the season for a draft pick.

We've taken Vernon Gholston at #6 and Darrelle Revis at #14. We took Kyle Burnt Toast Wilson in the 1st Round and Jeremy Kerley in the 5th. We took Stephen Hill in the 2nd Round and Antonio Allen in the 7th. I want to win games because we rarely "win the Draft." Besides, fucking up someone's postseason dreams or playoff seeding (ex. pushing the Pats* into the AFC 2nd seed instead of 1st) is MUCH more fun!

Anybody getting upset at this article is a phony, at. 2-9 what the hell else should the team be doing other than playing their younger players more to develop them and evaluate them for whether or not they will be a big part on the future or not? The article is stupid and redundant! I actually agree with this. Articles like this are part of Rex's end of season scorched earth campaign.

If the players hadn't Sh!t the bed en route to a 2-10 record this wouldn't be an issue.

The article is stupid and redundant! What are they developing handing off to veteran running backs most of the game?

And who will develop those younger players? No Bellichick Ring Kisser and his top-notch coaching staff? STFU douchebag!

Because losing gives us a better chance at a Matt Ryan as opposed to a Vernon Gholston. Of course the Jets can fuck up the pick, any team could but I'd rather give them more options to chose from to prevent that. Fucking up someones postseason dreams does absolutely nothing for me. Maybe if I was one of the players and the other team was talking shit, but as a fan? Could care less. Give me a top 5 pick instead.

I'm the same, I can't watch a game and actively want us to lose, in fact the whole tankin philosophy doesn't sit well with me unless it's for a franchise QB.

If this is true (and I have my doubts) wouldn't that be irony! I have heard of a team quitting but never the management. It's certainly a possibility, and from the outside looking in, it looks like they're having a pissing contest. That's why Woody MUST clean house and I believe he will.
