Proof that the lunatics ran the asylum with no accountability for failure or the rules..... The Jets got back to work on Monday and defensive end Sheldon Richardson showed that the departure of Rex Ryan didn’t change everything in the organization. Richardson made the kind of April statement familiar to Ryan when he said that he believed the Jets were going to be the best team in the league in 2015. The bravado sounds the same, but Richardson’s rationale for that prediction was that there are big differences in talent on both sides of the ball and tight end Jace Amaro said that those aren’t the only differences under new coach Todd Bowles.
“He’s not really playing around with everyone being late. We had an issue with that last year,” Amaro said on Sirius XM NFL Radio with Alex Marvez and Bill Polian. “Guys just weren’t accountable last year as much as they could be. I think that’s the biggest thing, he’s making sure everyone’s gonna be 100 percent in or he’s not going to be on the team.”
Amaro’s comments call to mind last year’s trip to San Diego, when quarterback Geno Smith started despite missing a meeting the day before the game because of what was blamed on the time zone difference in California. Smith wound up getting pulled during a 31-0 loss that made it clear that punctuality wasn’t the only thing wrong with the Jets last season.bleacherreport.com/tb/dgmKM

I'd love my boss too if he let me show up late and perform sub-standard work all while praising me as the best employee ever.

This is a good thing. The team really lacked discipline last year.

A direct quote from Bowles' first day on the job addressing the team:
"Oh come, on. Stop whining. You kids are soft. You lack discipline. Well, I've got news for you, you are mine now! You belong to me! You're not going to have your mommy's run behind you anymore and wipe your tushies! Oh no! It's time now to turn this mush into muscles. No more complaining. No more, 'Mr. Bowles I have to go to the bathroom'... nothing. There is no bathroom!"
I think we have a new sheriff in town.

And holy hell we're gonna have a beastly fuckin team if the Defense was able to do even what they did under Rex's leaderless ship. Sheldon, Mohammed, All dem boys, maybe even Coples is going to unleash holy hell. And just maybe Geno can look more like the QB he was in College, where he had what was it like 58 TDs to 6 picks?! Yes, give it to me.

Richardson went from saying he feels like the Jets can be a top team, why not, to saying they were a top team to predicting they will be a top team.

Was there ever any doubt that Bowles would be a HC who held players accountable? He always says the Bill Parcells is a mentor. Who are Rex's greatest influences...? Buddy and Brian Billick?

Let's hope that the changes actually translate into wins.
