www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/darrelle-revis-rejoin-patriots-white-house-visit-article-1.2188575Darrelle Revis to reunite with Patriots at White House after signing with Jets BY SETH WALDER NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Thursday, April 16, 2015, 11:17 PM Get ready for an uncomfortable reunion in the nation's capital. Realizing he'll never have a change to do it as a Jet, Darrelle Revis plans to attend the Patriots' visit next Thursday to the White House, according to a source. The team will be honored by President Barack Obama, but the trip could be interesting given all that has happened with Revis since he won the Super Bowl back with New England. When the star cornerback sees Bill Belidick or Robert Kraft, might it come up that there are currently dueling tampering charges hovering over Revis and the two AFC East franchises he's been a part of? Or will teammates bring up the fact that Revis is not just with any other team now, but their biggest rival? For a ceremonial meeting at the White House, Thursday sure has a high potential for awkwardness. Maybe President Obama can issue tampering pardons. It's not particularly surprising that Revis would attend the trip along with his old team -- he was hoisting the Lombardi Trophy just a few months ago with them -- but it is a different situation considering the lingering controversy that surrounds his exit. The Patriots filed tampering charges against the Jets when owner Woody Johnson said on Dec. 29 that he would "love" for Revis to return to Gang Green. The News previously reported that the league sent an investigator to the Jets facility during the "legal tampering" window to look into the team's pursuit of Revis. The Jets, essentially in retaliation, filed a reciprocal charge against the Patriots for Robert Kraft saying he wished Revis were still a Patriot at the owners meetings in March.

Of excitement only to pot-stirring hacks and Pats trolls.
This happens every year with departing FA players going with their former team. Now, because it's Revis, it's news because of the border war.
The guy wants to meet the President. Nothing more to see here.

I don't think he was feeling sorry for Flats* trolls (such as yourself), that's the only posters I give a hard time to (just like everyone else). He has issues, thinking that asking for a clarification of his incomprehensible British English and/or terse clipped writing "style" is a challenge rather than a simple question, then projects that interaction onto every other post I make. He has weird arson revenge and self-mutilation fantasies, not someone you'd be wise to pick as "right".
