That's Jamarcus. This throw doesn't travel as much distance horizontally (it's super grainy, but it seems to have went around 70 yards), but look at how high he throws it. I swear Jamarcus could have thrown a ball from his own goal line to the opposite 10 yard line. Not that that has anything to do with playing quarterback.
That said, Cardale Jones appears to have all the potential in the world. If he wins the starting job and puts together a year's worth of performances like the ones he had to close out the year, he'll go #1 next year. He made a number of extremely impressive throws last year, there's just not a large enough sample size to be able to make a proper evaluation right now.

Give me Christian Hackenberg over Jones any day of the week. We need this dude when he declares.

There's a steady flow of guys that come out of high school as the greatest thing ever. He's done very little to justify that hype as of yet. I know that Penn State is going through a tough time right now, but that doesn't excuse what has been some downright dreadful play by Hackenberg. He was very impressive at times during his freshman year, but he was awful last year. The tools are there, obviously, but he's got a lot of work to do. A lot.

I wouldn't be hyping him if I hadn't seen him play. I'm a firm believer of the "rookie holds the clipboard" school. Not saying he'll be ready year one, but he's got, as you said, all the tools and he could be our Aaron Rodgers. I'd rather wait on him than draft Mariotta.
