Jones isn't even a lock to be the OSU starter this year. Depending on who declares next year, I think it could be a pretty thin QB market in 2016. If the Jets don't solve the long term QB question in the next coulple drafts, give me Josh Rosen in 2018. Get to know him.

Give me Christian Hackenberg over Jones any day of the week. We need this dude when he declares. Jared Goff from Cal and Jeremy Johnson from Auburn if he comes out will be the best QBs in next years draft. I really like Goff so far, but he will have a lot of the same question marks that so many of these spread QBs have coming out of college. Depending on how his year goes, I could see him staying for his Senior year at Cal though. |

I don't get the Cardale Jones hype at all, I think he looks pretty terrible as far as a pro prospect. Like others have said, I prefer Hack, Cook, Goff, Kyle Allen, the Clemson kid .... even Patrick Towles has some nice tools.

The Jets are going to need ammo to get up there and draft one of these guys assuming we're a .500 team this year
If we can somehow trade down this year to secure a 2nd 1st rounder next year that's the plan for this team even if it costs us a Cooper/White/Fowler

Goff and maybe Cook are the only QB's that I see making a case to go high next year. Hackenberg has oodles of physical talent, but is incredibly inconsistent. Unless he blows everyones tits off this year, he isn't going to be a Top 10 pick. And as mentioned before, Jones isn't even a lock to be OSU's starter. Kid isn't going to be a Top 10 pick after 3 starts. That's just goofy. |
