Geno Smith is very confused right now I was actually at my children's Auskick clinic when the Jets picked Smith a couple of years ago. A mate texted me with the pick. I think at the time I was happy that the Jets took Smith in the second round because he was predicted to go in the first round. Due to time differences, US Friday night is Saturday morning my time. Generally, 1pm ET games played in the US start about 4am my time, so Monday is pretty much a write-off for me as I keep an eye on the games (and watch the Sunday Night Football game at lunch) during the season. Last two years, I've gone to a Super Bowl party on Monday morning (my time) for networking and business development as my first day back at work after Christmas. It's a great excuse to start drinking at 10am. Ok I knew something was off. I was going to joke about the time difference being two days but I didn't want to make a dumb mistake. The draft starts Thursday. Here's the time conversion I looked up www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converted.html?iso=20150430T2020&p1=64&p2=240

In that case, I'll be sitting in my office with this site open and the NFL.com site open simultaneously.

Anyone else going to the TOJ draft party on the UES? Is that some kind of police event?

I miss rounds 1-3 starting Saturday at noon. Had the boys over for BBQ and beers. What a blast. Not anymore, thanks NFL. Ditto. Used to send the wife and kids away and invite the friends over. Watched the draft, ate, drank, played cards, etc. Not anymore...thanks to Goodell and his cronies. Saturday I'll be checking the draft from my phone on my way to Disney.

I may be in a funeral parlor at the start since a bunch of my friends have scheduled to pay our respects as a group because we knew the deceased in a particular context. DVR will allow me to catch up when I get home by using >> through the commercials.
Oddly enough, thanks to having a former talent evaluator as our new GM (IMHO), this year's draft is less likely to remind me of a funeral than those across the past decade.

I don't mind the Thurs night 1st round thing. Looking forward to 3 or four of my buds watching it at my house...last year's crime scene where the fucking vaGiants stole my player, and where there's a still hole in my ceiling created by my fucking head.

I find myself somewhat memorized by the draft, and usually watch rounds 1 - 4, watching more intently as the Jet's pick looms. Usually I watch it alone, because my wife and daughters could care less. Occasionally, my wife feints interest and asks, "how are the Jets doing?" My standard answer is, "we won't know until the season starts."

I usually sit by myself, laptop on The Hampur -- maybe texting my son about the Jets picks. Every once in a while the wife will walk by, shake her head and call me an idiot for sitting there for 4 hours talking online with my Jet loser friends (thats you guys) to hear 32 names called. Woman who watches the Real Housewives shows calls me an idiot for watching the draft.

Heading to the bar with a group of friends and gambling on the picks. 2 dollar entry per pick, pot splits between every person that gets the pick right. If everyone/no one gets it right, pot carries to next pick.
Great, Great time.
