I'm leaning towards DGB. Gregory's frame scares me playing the run. Did we have DGB in as one of our 30 for a visit? I never saw anywhere that we had met with him at all. No meeting with DGB is listed on the Walter Football site: walterfootball.com/ProspectMeetings/ByTeamIf the list is accurate, I cannot see us picking him. Don't think he is the kind of guy you take without meeting him in person, given the questions around his character. I agree, that's why I asked, can't see us taking him with his character not meeting him like you say.

Not knowing if the top two guys are even on the Jets board I will put question marks next to them. I would take a trade down and roll the dice on Gregory. Vet defense will kick his ass if he doesn't stay in line. Need a edge rusher and he is the best in the draft. If those guys are off the board I want Devin Smith the speed WR from Ohio State. We have size at WR now we need speed to take the top off. 1 Randy Gregory OLB Nebraska 2 La'el Collins G/T LSU 3 Jaelen Strong WR Arizona State 4 Devin Smith WR Ohio State 5 Eli Harold OLB Virginia 6 Jake Fisher OT Oregon 7 Eric Kendricks ILB UCLA 8 Sammie Coates WR Auburn 9 Denzel Perryman LB Miami

I agree on gregory. I'd like DGB, Strong or Devin Smith. I'd also appreciate the value of Collins in the 2nd. If they pick him, I just pray the PIs did a good job. I'm leaning towards DGB. Gregory's frame scares me playing the run. Did we have DGB in as one of our 30 for a visit? I'd take a flier on him in the 4th, but not willing to go for a 2nd on a 3rd-down player.

Can't see him lasting till the 4th, I defiantly see him goin in the 2nd, didn't most experts have a late 1st round grade on him? It looks like petty will be there aswell so big decision early doors for Mac tonight.

Your Maybin comparison was apt.

It doesn't matter Lithfan regarding visits...lots of players get drafted by teams that have no scheduled visits with them.

I think if we were serious about him - that is a guy we would want to sit down and meet with before spending a high 2 on him.

Maybe they did an extensive background check and talked to other folks and got what they needed. But I do see your point, DGB does have some serious red flags but the guys ceiling is just through the roof. I also really like this Lockett kid.

Added bonus with Lockett is that he also would fill our need for a return man. I think 37 may be high for him -- would rather get a guy like Strong, DGB or Devin Smith at 37 or trade back and take Lockett later in the round or if he lasts to the 3rd. But trading back is much easier said than done.

I see everyone is high on DGB...but DGB would come with enormous baggage, no? Kid was embroiled in some stuff that would have imprisoned a non-college athlete and supposedly was not too coachable. This would be an enormous challenge for a first time head coach, especially in the NY market. though I would have to think Bowles would have to pretty confident he can corral this kid before green-lighting this move. media.salon.com/2012/05/ray_lewis.jpg

I still think there's plenty of WR talent in the 3rd round - go BPA again but not DGB or La'al'asd'a collins ...too big a risk.

When he's slingin dope in the Stadium tunnels and bustin caps into little childrens abdomens in the stands, you'll all be texting "omg thug on the field, omg" to 78247.

Just like everyone was dreaming we'd get Amari Cooper and didn't, everyone is now dreaming DGB, and we will not get him either. Strong will be gone, if we get any WR in Rd 2 it might be Smith

Outside of Harold and Orchard, the jets haven't worked out virtually anyone in this bracket of talent. In fact, we haven't spend a whole lot of time with anyone on offense outside of the top tier guys... So who the eff knows what comes next. If it's Duke Johnson, i'll hurl myself off a bridge. DGB Strong Collins Hardy Harold And the pick needs to be DGB Jets worked out Gregory as well. Unfortunately, I think the Jets pick is going to be between Harold, Orchard and Gregory, so the offense will continue to be ignored. The more things change, the more they stay the same. everyone is dreaming of a WR (DGB, not happening) I will be surprised if it's not one of your three, or perhaps Fisher
