ESPN reported today that John Idzik just arrived at Radio City for the draft and asked where everyone is.
How nice to have a GM who is not only sharp but also moves at human speed with regard to making trades and signing FAs.

So I am not sure about "rexapalooza", but Idzik's replacement, Maccagnan, has been stellar thus far through both FA and the Draft.

He seemed to be standing still when the rest of the league was running circles around him, first in FA and then after the draft.

Wasn't really rocket science on which players to cut to create most of the cap space.

I distinctly remember Jason writing an article saying which players had to go for cap space and it was exactly the Blueprint Idzik followed. If Jason and the posters of JI knew who to cut then it was a no brainer for even an incompetent GM.

Cutting players that don't have cap hits and. It resigning players to creat space doesn't take a rocket scientist. Signing players lets who stay healthy, who have talent does. Drafting players with talent who will contribute more so. Recognizing when a position has been made barren through attrition and injury does. yeah, we had lots of cap space. And because Idzik marched out a non NFL team last year and put a team on the field that was incapable of winning. If he had spit talent into the roster Maccagnan wouldn't have had to sign as many as he had to sign. That's not a good thing.
