I knew it was gonna be shit when they casted that Soathie Choad. Fuck Affleck. Will not watch. And evidently Jesse Eisenberg is every bit of the colossal miscast I thought he would be. Kid has made a career out of playing nothing but whiny, timid little pussy characters. I want to dump his books and snatch his fucking lunch money every time I look at him. And THIS is the guy they chose to play Superman's arch nemesis? Eisenberg sounded awful the minute he was cast. For whatever reason, Lex Luthor has been poorly portrayed in every single film, including Hackman and Spacey. Snyder should have just gone the boring route, casted Walter White and called it a day.

They might as well have cast Michael Cera as Lex Luthor. Same goddamn actor, but oh, he didn't star in The Fuckhead Network or whatever it was. And I agree, cast Cranston as Lex and this would've at least had a competent villain.

Yep, Bernthal basically confirms towards the end of the interview that we'll see a more all business, classic version of Frank in the future.

So I saw Batman v. Superman and, while I liked it, I can see why so many people disliked it. The acting is spot on (even Eisenberg is pretty good), the fights and effects are cool, but there are some pretty dumb plot holes in the movie and a couple of gratuitous scenes that never should have made the final cut.

This may be a dumb question ... But why are Batman and Superman fighting each other? I'm assuming that is what the "vs." means.
Aren't they both supposed to be the "good guys"? Fighting crime and evil and all that?
The premise of the movie makes no sense to me -- though I admit I don't read comic books.
I did like season 1 of Daredevil, though the partner got annoying at times. I haven't watched season 2 yet, just too busy to watch much TV (or even read the board or post).

The story is based on a Comic book series...which is very good. Don't want to give away spoilers. But is a prelude to the beginnings of the Justice League.

Broke down and took my son today, and Batman and Superman fight for all of like 5-6 mins of the entire damn near 3 hour movie. And the reason as to why they fight and as to why their fight ends are equally illogical and absurd. I don't even consider anything about this movie to be a spoiler. If you watched the 3 main trailers they put out, then you've essentially already seen it. Even Kevin Smith who is a huge Batman fan and buddies with Affleck has been dogging the shit out of the movie.

Also, even though I think they took Batman's vigilante crusade too far, Affleck's Batman was still hands down the best part of the movie.
I'm definitely interested in a solo Batman movie starring Affleck especially if he's also going to write and direct, as has been rumored.
And that Gal Gadot chick was sexy as hell as Wonder Woman. Still not sure if she can carry her own film though. She only had a handful of lines.
