No matter what Jones says, they could use a running back. We have 5 on our roster: Ivory/Powell/Ridley/Stacy/Richardson
4 of them are Free agents next year Ivory/Powell/Ridley/Richardson
Ivory costs the most $2.7 million
Ivory is the biggest asset
If the trio of Powell, Ridley, and Stacy can get it done this year, look for Ivory to be traded for a 3/4th round, they keep Stacy, resign one of the other three and/or sign a FA next year, and look for them to draft a back with the extra pick.

You aren't getting a 3rd/4th round pick for Ivory.
And if all you're going to get back is a 6th or conditional 7th...then what's the point?
He's still the best RB we have on the roster.

I love Ivory. Hard to be effective last year when opposing d's stacked 11 in the box daring Geno to throw... And unfortunately he did.

Why do people want to trade their teams best player for a future pick?
Even the logic is fail. He's good enough to bring a 3 but won't be missed because we have 4 scrubs left?

The most you would get is a conditional 6th. He's not an under 25 yr old dynamic RB and he'd be a 1 year rental. probably not worth it.

Hard to imagine giving up our best RB, especially after what he did with so little last year.
Powell, Ridley and Richardson are on one year deals. (Ivory is on the last year of his contract.) Cutting two of those guys will be cheap and easy. Far easier to dump two of those guys and keep Ivory and Stacey (who is cheap this year and next.)

No ones giving up a 3rd for a 1 yr rental of Ivory. He's more valuable to keep than what you'd get back.

Trading Stacy for a 5th or 6th is more possible than dealing Ivory. Lol
Anyway, I fully expect the Cowboys to still trade for AP though but we'll see.

I was under the impression that NYJ desperately needed Ivory and someone better to accompany him in the backfield this year. Stacy could be a one year wonder aka Ivory is our best back.

I cannot wait to see that madman breaking free, over and over. He's electric, and now part of a bigger better talent pool.

This thread sucks outside of that Torrey Smith tweet.
And frankly it started to piss me off when I read the title because I thought we may have foolishly traded him for some dumb reason.
