The article is about Miles, his injury, and his comeback attempt. Why is your reply about Pryor being awful? Who said that?

It would be nice to see him get a good shot at making the team this Summer. With Pryor, Gilchrist, Allen and Jarrett it may be hard to stick at Safety but Todd Bowles is known to like a lot of DBs so maybe it works. I do hope that guys like Miles and others from the previous regime (like Shaq Evans, Dakota Dozier, etc.) get a fair shake with the new GM and HC. You can't enter a new situation as a GM and simply purge the roster and assume everything from the last guy is crap. Although Idzik did a bad job as GM there are definitely some guys who should be given a hard look and some time to develop. Miles, Evans, Dozier, and McDougle are guys I'd put in that category.

I did edit my post. I compared the two but then I felt like bringing Pryor up in this thread would be bad for morale. Instead, I will be patient and wait for the rest of you to come around on him or I will eat my words. We shall see.

I think that's an overly simplistic statement. He may have whiffed on a few things like packaging up some picks for a better WR last year, but it wasn't all bad. There are definitely guys he picked that are likely to amount to something if given a chance, and others who have already accomplished a lot. The problem was that he and the head coach had completely different scheduels and goals and were thus incompatible. His was a long term plan and while Woody preached it, the fanbase was too impatient to wait for it. I'm sure his plan in saving all that cap money last year was to use it this year, unfortunately he wasn't around long enough to take advantage of it. Macagnan is now getting the credit for a brilliant FA but he wouldn't have had all that money to spend without Idzik and it doesn't take a wild genius to spend all your cap money on the best FAs's

It would be nice to see the pertinent part of the story quoted instead of just link dumping all the time

Wonder if Zimmerman will get signed too. Anyone know if we offered him an invite to camp after this past weekend?

Idzik was a bad GM. He made bad picks and part of the reason why he created cap room was b.c he was too gun shy to spend it, not b.c it was part of some grand plan of his. He was in over his head. Combine that with Woody forcing his marriage with Rex and you have the 2014 Jet blow up. I agree with you about Mac. Right now it is all rainbows and unicorns. This is his honeymoon year, just like 2013 was Idzik's. Mac inherited a better situation than Idzik b.c of the cap room and coaching situation.
