well, he's right about the drug part but he's obviously not understanding is cheating is cheating. and it's not so much the balls were deflated but that they were cheating and got caught. and since the principals, brady, bellichicken, mcdaniel, the patsies have all been caught before it means they have no respect for the nfl. that's what t's all about. admittedly it's tough to take knowing that goodell is pulling down 40 million or so for doing nothing but somewhere there need to be organizations where people behave honrably. isn't that what sportsmanship all about?

Hhhmm. Memo to self: Invite Joe Namath to Hamprecon 2.0.
ANyhoo, Creaky Joe is missing the point here; Its not the deflation in and of itself, its the continuing and pervasive cheating and subterfuge that permeates that fetid franchise led by Belicheat and Ernie Adams. If anyone believes that spygate ended their machinations, I have a bridge to sell them. Guaranteed this ball silliness is only the tip of the iceberg as far as what they're still up to, but its an example of how the patent dishonesty has infected Brady to the point where he thinks this is funny. This is the same QB who operated while being fed info that was gleaned from stolen defensive communications..think he didn't know that either?
I'm thrilled more of the "stink" is sticking to Brades the lades, because its ridiculous to think he's not just as culpable at this point in his career for the endemic cheating as Beli and Ernie.
Fvck that chick.

He's right.
However, the argument that Patriots fans have pushed that "deflated footballs isnt' as bad as ______" is on par with saying "robbery isn't as bad as rape, so we shouldn't get in trouble".
PEDs has had a much bigger impact on the game, is a much harder ongoing problem to solve... in that regard, Joe is right.

he is the 2nd Jets QB to come out and admit it's no big deal.
Jet legend Jeff Blake admitted that everyone does it.

Brades the lades, who kinda sorta got a pass on spygate even though we knew a lot of his handiwork was based on having stolen foreknowledge of defensive schemes, just pretty much put his feet in the cheater cement with Belicheat and its drying fast.
Everyone does it? Cooperate with the investigation, stop the arrogance, and take your slap on the wrist and move on. He and the Pats basically incited this reaction.
4 games aint for deflated balls and you know it.
Mention the Pasts*...or Brades anywhere outside of NE now...or in 20 years...guess what comes up first in "word association"?
Not SB....cheaters.
Haters didn't cause this mess.
Serious Green has spoken.
Now get your shinebox.

Joe can do no wrong. Need I remind yous of what we are without him.
Agree with 32. Joe missed the point. The Pats are addicting to cheating. Nobody is claiming they need to cheat to win games. They play the Jets, Bills and phins 6 times a year ffs. Nobody is saying that Brady isnt great. They just cant help themselves. They are a criminal enterprise. I believe they have committed much larger sins and the dam will eventually break. The old adultering drunk Kraft cant keep his finger in the dyke forever.

Agreed, it's not about the air it's about circumventing rules to gain a competitive advantage.
Clearly the Patriots motto is ... "As long as the rest of the NFL do not catch us, we will do ANYTHING to win"
For the Patriots it's not about the rules, it's about not getting caught. For the most part they are reflective of the individual over the collective.
They do not care about the NFL, there is no sportsmanship ... it is winning at all cost.
Personally the reason I follow rules is generally not because it's right thing to do but because I don't want to deal with the consequences. The Patriots are like me, they don't want to follow the rules either. But unlike me they are prepared to break the rules because they are convinced they are smarter than the people who make the rules, that they can get away with it. They just can't accept that someone has caught them.

He's pretty much right, though. Brady's biggest crime in this whole thing isn't the deflating of balls, it's blatantly lying about the whole thing to the league's face and thinking he could get away with it. The douche thinks he's above the rules and got sat the fuck down and told, "No, you're not. If you want to circumvent our rules, we'll humble you and your team.".
