I think I began to tire of Rex pretty early on, compared to some on the boards. Same stuff we saw from Herm and Mangini, not learning from mistakes by year 3 (time management, personnel group fuck ups, stuff that smart people fix with iternal review) combined with mouth breather behavior.
never thought he had to be a robot like Belicock but flipping off fans at MMA events and talking about fighting other team's players was always an embarrassment, I thought.
Just a big clown looking for attention. Bowles is just the opposite it seems. He played in the league and has player's respect. Doesn't have to yell or be buddy-buddy, just be himself.

I wonder why Rex hasn't commented on Willie Colon making the same comments as Jace did but only he did it before and after Amaro's comments? And seriously VTN if you love him so much I'm sure they're accepting new fans in Buffalo. im not the one obsessed by Rex who needs to keep starting threads about him. And there are plenty of valid criticisms to be made of Rex, no need to fabricate non-existent ones

And seriously VTN if you love him so much I'm sure they're accepting new fans in Buffalo. im not the one obsessed by Rex who needs to keep starting threads about him. And there are plenty of valid criticisms to be made of Rex, no need to fabricate non-existent ones +1 Most of us, even those that thought Rex got a bit of a raw deal with the roster last year, etc. can have an intelligent, level-headed conversation about him. But at this point there really isn't anything to discuss. This is just a rehashing of previous comments and Rex seems to be the only one keeping it in the news. Rex will always be a topic of conversation around here for valid reasons (i.e. he's the last person to coach the NYJ in a football game, he's at a division rival, etc.) but I'm hopeful that before long he fades to the background and only comes up the two weeks each year we play the Bills. People should see that Rex has both positive and negative qualities. Most intelligent fans can agree that Rex is no longer fat, he's an excellent defensive coach, he is an unsophisticated communicator with diarrhea of the mouth, he made little progress/maturity over his final few years with the Jets, he was the victim of a pretty bad roster last year, and he never got nearly as much out of the offense as he did the defense. One positive from the Rex years is that I think it may have made Woody a better owner in that he now seems to understand what qualities he wants most in a coach and that he needs a coordinated GM/HC pair.

It's funny how Bills fans thought Jets as a circus and joke with buffoon Rex, and now they think he's the answer. lol

More like how the Bills totally fucked Sammy Watkins. Lal breaking down those routes: "See how you fought for the ball on this route? I don't like my receivers trying to fight for the ball. See how you caught the ball? Try to do that less."

I stopped reading that article when I saw the name Jacoby Ford. I'm surprised that piece of junk hasn't signed with the Bills.

You can see it now. Jace's first catch along the sidelines and the whole thing turns WWE in a second. One day he'll rip his shirt on the sidelines à la Hulkster. Haha. Althought that assumes Amaro will actually CATCH the ball. He's a drop machine. The latest in a long line of high round Jet stone handed TEs. Hope he turns it around in year 2, but last year I wasn't impressed.

That's nice, but w/ the Jets last year he dropped a million EASY catches on third downs no less when the season still had promise. Hope he's solved that this year. I'll chalk it up to rookie mistakes, but I want it to stop.

It's funny how Bills fans thought Jets as a circus and joke with buffoon Rex, and now they think he's the answer. lol Thats fans. We are all hypocrites. We went from a strict coach to a players coach, and thought that was the answer too. Now we hopefully have a best-of-both-worlds coach.
