When Rex first left I admittedly thought it was a possible he could go on to be better coach, perhaps learning from his mistakes with his time as a Jet. Sometimes a firing will really get someone to look at themselves and truly reassess. Apparently not in Rex's case. Clearly hasn't learned from his mistakes during his first gig with us.

Jace's comments get more veracity every time Rex talks about them.

I can't wait for those games against the Bills. When they get called for 12 men on the field, bonehead clock management, poorly used timeouts.....I'll laugh and laugh

You can see it now. Jace's first catch along the sidelines and the whole thing turns WWE in a second. One day he'll rip his shirt on the sidelines à la Hulkster.

It seems to me that Rex is trying to make two points:
1. Everything that went right was to my credit. 2. Everything that went wrong was the fault of management cramping my style.
Amaro did two things to get under Rex's skin:
A: Provided bulletin board material that Rex cannot resist replying to (remember Chandler WhatsHisName). B: Directly confronted Rex's fantasy with reality.
Rex can't and won't drop this obsession. Arguably, he might even believe that winning a game will prove him right!
My prediction is that Rex will see initial success at Buffalo since confidence and swagger had been in short supply. However, if (when?) he tries to use bravado as a cure for roster holes and alternative to game planning, his shtick will grow old. Rex in Miami 2021...book it!!!

It seems to me Jets Fans are the ones that are still obsessed with Rex, still starting threads and talking about him non-stop. And as far as "roster holes" is that an admission that Rex had more than a few to deal with? What is the "approved" way of dealing with roster holes?

I wonder why Rex hasn't commented on Willie Colon making the same comments as Jace did but only he did it before and after Amaro's comments? And seriously VTN if you love him so much I'm sure they're accepting new fans in Buffalo.
