Seems pretty cut and dried. If its voluntary, and hes not there, no matter the reason, you cant discipline him. If its mandatory, you can. F'N Pats.

The arrogance on these fucking guys is amazing.
I hope they lose another 1st round pick for this bullshit.

Belidick didn't know.
It didn't really happen.
It was a sting operation.
Yeah but everybody else does it too.
Ideal gas law.
We won the SB.
Belidick interpreted the rule differently.
Kraft shouldn't give in to the NFLPA.
We would have won anyway.
I hope I hit all the patriots excuses there.

The Pats glory reign is over. The league will no longer look the other way for "Little" transgressions like this. They have the league's, and the public's laser focus on them now and they'd better learn how to toe the line and follow the rules - just like everyone else has been doing since SBI!

This will be the usual deal with the Patriots - plausible deniability with no admission of guilt, followed by righteous indignation that they're being persecuted by jealous haters. Belidick will claim that no discipline was handed out to Butler. He'll say that Butler is a known commodity and since they've had a lot of turnover at that position, he needed to evaluate the other, newer, players on the field (that excuse was all planned out before Butler arrived in Foxboro). Because it's obvious that Belidick is lying, they'll have some practice time taken away from them next Spring, and everyone in Cheatsville will cry that they're getting "singled out" again because of their unprecedented success in the salary cap era and all of the former Jets employees that now work in the league office.

I read three of his four tires were flat.
