The bit about practise is just shocking. You might want to run through a brick wall for him, but if you're not prepared who cares? Bet you if Allen Iverson was a football player he'd love Wrecks!

It's hard to argue that these anonymous sources aren't telling the truth when after six years with the team there are no players coming forward to dispute these claims.

The reason I'm all in on Bowles is because Parcells loves him, and he was effectively hired by Wolf and Casserley, good football minds who know what they are looking for in a coach. Or they hired a good GM who then hired a good HC. Rex's hiring was just a Buffoon hiring a Buffoon. One of the most interesting quotes I heard out of Bowles was when they asked him what he learned from Parcells and the first thing he said was "He taught me how to coach the coaching staff" and expounded on that thought. I loved the years Rex gave us, but some stability and a unified talented coaching staff is what we need moving forward.

I loved the years Rex gave us, but some stability and a unified talented coaching staff is what we need moving forward. I loved the first two years. The determined, "FUCK YOU!", to all the Jets haters. New England couldn't stand it because he talked big and kicked their ass. CAN'T WAIT! So many amazing moments. Unfortunately those who burn the brightest burn out the fastest. Year 3 was terribly damning. It showed that Rex really was riding this crazy train full tilt with idea of what the hell he was doing... full bore, through the wall, and luckily it worked for a little while. And lets be honest, we got favorable matchups in the playoffs those years until we hit the good teams and got beat... always after they showed they couldn't handle the pressure and second half adjustments and the control was lost. Two fun rides, followed by four years of embarrassing agony.

“In the past, practice seemed like something you went through. Something you just did. I'm not sure everyone took it seriously, players and the coaches".
I mean WTF, this is just disgusting. I can't believe a team can prepare so poorly, how do you expect to beat the hoodie etc when you can't put the work in and prepare properly.
Shocks me every time I read that quote.

The best coach I ever had was certainly not someone I considered a friend, but respected him more than most anyone I've ever come across. I'll take a coach the players respect over a coach they think is their friend anyday.
These comments do not surprise me, the play on the field reeked of no accountability. It was obvious to even the most casual observers the Jets were poorly prepared and poorly organized.
Changing that doesn't mean Bowles will be a sure fire success, but it will be refreshing watching his team play.

Was there anything more pathetic than watching Rex try to hire a coaching staff? Those guys fucking sucked. i.e. his boys

I am sure this is all true but honestly it's all bs also.
Nobody and I mean NOBODY in their right mind thought last years team could compete. The coaches knew it, the players knew it. Maybe only Idziot didn't. Of course there's more optimism this year. This team is talented. Apart from Geno this is a Super Bowl caliber team. Not saying they would win it but they'd be one of the teams in the mix.
If you've ever been stuck in a disastrous situation at work you'd know that no matter how hard you try and how positive you try to be the negativity permeates everywhere. I actually give Rex credit for keeping the team together under dire circumstances last year. Don't get me wrong, a complete change was needed by everyone. But there are lots of worse coaches than Rex. Bowles may be way better even. I do prefer Bowles style more myself. But the huge problem the Jets had was Idziot and the lack of talent...
