yogi passed away last night. the guy was just such a great sports icon for the yankees and what a great player. one of the examples of the players who played not just for the money but for the love of the game and the fans. imagine what yogi would be paid in today's markets. but then he wouldn't be yogi.

Sad news. I've always been a Yankee fan and Yogi will be missed. People think of him as not being very bright but he made a lot of great business deals. He bought and sold Yoohoo and made a big profit. He bought land in Florida that was needed for Disney World and held out long enough to make a killing on it. I went to to the inaugural game at Yankee Stadium. I was taking a few pictures of the Stadium before the game and a little blue Honda pulled in front of me. I looked at it and was shocked to see Yogi sitting in the passengers seat. I quickly took a picture and then smiled and waved at him and he smiled back. Rest in peace Yogi.
