Ah you kids who never got to hear the best front man in rock history sing live I feel for ya. 30 years ago Queen stole the show at Live Aid. They were almost broken up by then, but Geldolf ordered them to play at the event. They experienced somewhat of a rebirth after that, but sadly Freddie died not long after. Hadn't seen this in years, but just ran across it . What a voice. Enjoy.

Great stuff...I've had a lot of down time lately to watch music. If you like Pearl Jam this is worth a watch.

Greatest Front Man Ever?
Ehhhhh....
I'd put him in my Top 3
1. Jim Morrison 2. Robert Plant 3. Freddie Mercury

30 years? fuck
I remember my parents were out of town and I threw a huge party for the Live Aid concert...there was much vomiting and visits from the local police. Fun times.

I never enjoyed Queen when I was younger, in fact I hated them. However, I have always thought Freddie was the best front man ever. He knew exactly how to rouse a crowd. I remember a concert in Barcelona where he came down some stairs with his Union Jack cape open as he did. Then he flipped it inside out to reveal the Catalan flag (Barcelona is in Catalunya, a part of Spain that whishes to be independent). This was a couple of years after Franco the dictator had died The crowd went mental, it was so loud you could not hear the music. It still gives me goosebumps when I see it.

I did some setup for Brian May one time in the city and asked him about his guitar... It looked unique... Turns out he made it himself. He told me all about it and talked like we were old friends or something. He would have kept talking and talking to a nobody like me. Also, his guitar tech was cool as fuck too. Very gracious and pure class all the way. Was not so mucha Queen fan until that but that dude is very very cool.

Also fun fact... he uses some kind of foreign coin as a guitar pic. He has a bunch of them. Dude is a legendary guitarist. Truly one of a kind and couldn't be a nicer guy.
