I did some setup for Brian May one time in the city and asked him about his guitar... It looked unique... Turns out he made it himself. He told me all about it and talked like we were old friends or something. He would have kept talking and talking to a nobody like me. Also, his guitar tech was cool as fuck too. Very gracious and pure class all the way. Was not so mucha Queen fan until that but that dude is very very cool. Wow great story. Also interesting about him is he's Dr. May. He received a doctorate in astrophysics and was involved with NASA on their recent flyby mission of Pluto. Anyway very glad to hear he is a nice guy. I once spent a night hanging out with me, Mick Jagger, and his translator in Tokyo. Was fun and very bizarre some of the places and parties we went to that night, but he was a bit of a tool.

I drank beer with a completely blotto Elvin Bishop. That's all I got. seemed like something at the time.

Great stuff...I've had a lot of down time lately to watch music. If you like Pearl Jam this is worth a watch. ummm...cool. Have you listened to any good movies lately?

Yeah, I hope you never have to go through what I am going through right now. watching some live music has gotten through some of the mind numbing days.

Thanks for that Tokyo. Hadn't seen it in forever and I was about 10 when that show took place.
Ironically, I was at the Foo Fighters show last night in AZ. Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins (drums) are two of the biggest Queen fans you'll ever find. They actually did the induction of Queen into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. On this current Foo tour they're covering several classic rock bands and songs during their middle set. It's been fantastic. I went to the Denver show and heard "Under Pressure"....and Taylor loves doing Day-O live at shows. Hearing Freddie to that with the crowd at Live Aid was simply killer. Last night we got some Van Halen and Pink Floyd....and then friggin' Jewel of all people actually showed up and she rocked some Led Zeppelin (and looked hot), completely delivering the back end of Whole Lotta Love.
