“The dude’s a beast,” safety Calvin Pryor said. “He’s fun to watch. He gives his all. He is so hard to bring down.”
“First of all, I’ve got to do a better job blocking. I’ve been horrible and part of the reason is because I’ve been a fan watching,” wide receiver Brandon Marshall said. “His game speed is unbelievable. He runs the ball violently. The guy’s a stud. He’s a stud. Like I’ve said since preseason, he makes everything go for us.”
"I feel like I'm playing a video game when I'm watching him," said right guard Brian Winters.
"Chris is an awesome running back," outside linebacker Calvin Pace said. "I would love for him to get the national attention that he deserves. He runs hard. I personally wouldn't want to go against him."
"I would say he's probably one of the best running backs in the league the way he runs," cornerback Darrelle Revis said, "and we feed off that energy."
"His style his awesome—you know I love it, you know what I mean?" Giacomini said. "It's great to have him back."

X 100
My favorite current Jet. That guy is relentless. If everyone on the team played with the same violence, we'd be pretty hard to beat.
And..don't want to jinx this, but he rarelyfumbles.
3 lost fumbles in his carreer (699 attempts)....and with fully inflated balls.

As I said in the matchday thread there are better backs out there but his style of running is so great it just lifts the energy of the whole team.
Over the years I think there are two positions that the Jets have been very fortunate/good at spotting talent at; RB and MLB. Freeman McNeil, Johnny Hector, even Brad Baxter unstopabble at short yardage, Curtis Martin, Thomas Jones, Chris Ivory maybe even LT and those are the only the ones I've watched myself without mentioning Matt Snell or the older guys. With the exception of Thomas Jones and obviously Baxter as a fullback all of the other guys were finesse guys. The way Ivory just punishes the defense every down makes even a hu-hum 3 yard gainer something to get pumped up about.
Hope he lasts thru the season.

It seEms we've always had at the very least a serviceable RB. NOW CAN WE GET A FUCKING FRANCHISE QB PLEASE !!

the thing i see with ivory is he's always trying to move forward. many backs including powell hit the line and kind of fold. ivory just keeps chugging and gets an extra yard here and there. it all adds up. and when he does break into the secondary he's not afraid to run at db as opposed to stepping out. here's to hoping he can stay healthy. they need him.

He is so good. Here's the most important player on O and without him we are a different (worse) team. With him, we are solid.

3rd in the NFL in rushing -- and he has missed a game. The guy is a beast -- love watching him run. I just hope he can stay healthy for a full season carrying 20+ times per game. If he does, he is All-Pro caliber.

I just saw that he had more than 100 yards AFTER CONTACT in the Miami game.
That's more impressive than the 166 he put up IMO. 100 after contact. Fucking unreal.
