I watched a lot of the Patriots/Cowboys game and I was amazed that the refs finally called a PI on the Pats* O (Edelman) in the 4th Q (14:22 remaining) but then 2 plays later (13:10 left) Amendola clearly interferes the same way as Edelman catches a TD pass that was a result of the interference and it wasn't called. They actually called it twice during the game but I have 2 problems with this: 1. The refs aren't consistent with the call. This is the Pats* primary play to get players open. 2. Simms was so excited with how amazingly well they run these illegal plays.
I don't have video yet but I will see if I can download the All-22 so I can get clips later.
My question is am I misunderstanding the rule or is this a blatant disregard by the officials that let it go?
<EDIT> Also what possible way can you defend these types of plays?

We should be practicing that play on offense over and over again. Use huge receivers like Marshall and Decker to get Smith open to speed by people. For refs to be consistent by putting them in a position to make that call against a Patriot opponent.

Rewatch all their games. They are doing it every play. Its brilliant really the refs cant keep throwing the flag, they could but they wont. Its basically doing it so often that they have no choice but to let some go. Imagine if they flagged them every play the game would be slow as shit. Pats know that and are taking the chance Belidick loves to dance on the line in the sand. Until its called every time it happens they will continue to execute it. In that way hold up every receiver on the line when you play them everytime, take a few flags then eventually the refs will have to let some go as well. That cocksucker in ne is a dirty genius

Not sure if it helps, but here is the rule.
Article 4 Other Prohibited Acts By the Offense. Blocking downfield by an offensive player prior to a pass being thrown is offensive pass interference.
Note: It is also pass interference by the offense to block a defender beyond the line while the pass is in the air, if the block occurs in the vicinity of the player to whom the pass is thrown.

Have our DB's flopping around like soccer players if there's anything close to contact during an illegal pick.

Another thing Simms was marveling about was Brady's mastery of the QB sneak saying they obviously practice it. And his description sounded bordering on cheating where he says Brady was already moving forward before the snap or something and something else the center was doing which I didn't catch. Anyone catch this?

Waiting for the refs to take care of Pats cheating/rule breaking is laughable. Theyre always 5 years late and only catch it when somebody points out the infraction to them.
Want to take care of illegal picks? Just lay the WR the fuck out. Esp that little Edellmann shit.
After 2 to 3 of them get their helmet put on backwards theyll quit that shit.

You know they don't want to keep throwing it and bog the game down.

Anyone catch this? I caught it its a great play. what they are doing is brady is already moving foward leaning hard as the ball is being snapped so hes already down tucked and in full force while that ball is still moving towards him then the center just collapses falls forward. The way to stop it is two back spread out on each side and come in from side to side not up the middle or from the front. It will not only stop it but will cause a fumble. I was drawing up a play last night might email it to bowles
