Why not drive to Citi early Sunday Morning. Take the LIRR to Penn Station Hop on the New Jersey Transit to Secaucus Take train to MetLife After then just do the same You should be at MetLife by 6pm Great suggestion -- would have been ideal but I stayed at the Hilton across the street from Met Life last night, so it would not have been an option, but this makes a lot of sense. Had I thought about it earlier, I could have just stayed near Citi Field last night and done the mass transit thing back and forth.

Incredible weekend. 3 wins in just over 24 hours -- unbelievable.
Travel absolutely sucked. We stayed at the Hilton Meadowlands, across from the stadium. Quick shuttle ride from the hotel to the game. After the game, we shuttle back to the hotel. My son has a flight to catch back to Iowa and I am heading over to Queens for the game. After being told in the AM that there are always cabs lined up at the hotel after the game to get him to Newark Airport, there is nothing there at 4:30. Front desk calls for a cab, but given game traffic, it could be up to an hour wait, so now I have to get him to the airport and then make my way to Citi Field.
Hotel to Airport to Citi Field was about 3 1/2 hours. Parked the car just as they were singing the National Anthem. Got to my seat for the 3rd pitch of the game. Would have been really pissed if I missed the bottom of the first.
If I had it to do all over again, I would have stayed in Queens and done public transportation to and from the Jets. Chicago traffic is bad, but I had forgotten just how bad the bridge and tunnel crossings in NYC can be.
But it was worth it.

ALWAYS holding up traffic.

And the Mets and Jets both won, so it's all good.

I stayed till the end of the game and drove home. I took the GW and it took me one hour to get home. Would have taken five to ten minutes less to get to Citi Field.
