Offense just has to take whatever the defense gives them. Play smart, nothing flashy. Same thing with the defense. Just play their game. No new schemes or plans. Just do what they've been doing.

If Decker runs more than 3 yards downfield, Fitzpatrick can't get the ball there. This is the best you have? you're in a trolling slump step it up cupcake He had to go back to his Pennington Trolling Playbook.

Yeah there isn't really an awesome option. Allen definitely did well in his time covering him. Hopefully he just eats bad shellfish and misses the game. I think we have to double him with a LB (probably Coples. I know he's stiff as a tree bark but he's useless anyway so he might as well just try to take Gronk out of the play by messing up his timing at the line) and once he gets by him Skrine if he can go Gilchrist if he can't. Cro is way too soft to cover even physical WR's I'd let him nowhere near Gronk. He'd just be a glorified escort out there. I'm actually wondering how our defense will hold up not because of any quality deficiency but I simply don't think Bowles' system matchs-up very well against the patsies. FF2 unfortunately is right Brady is at his best when he's being blitzed and Bowles is the most blitz happy coach out there. I'm expecting us to use a lot of nickel and dime packages and 4-3 fronts and blitz less than the norm (for us). This would 1- be unexpected at least as far as it being a break from our MO 2- enable us to play to our strength rather than theirs. I think we should be able to put pressure on Brady with their O-line sucking and our D-line not without having to blitz. If we can do that and still have 7 guys back there covering (like the Giants in the 07 Superbowl) I think we frustrate them into committing turnovers. Offensively we just pound Ivory and Stacy again and again and again. I would actually start with Ivory for a couple of series see how it goes and if it's not working put stacy in there as a battering Ram to keep ıvory fresh for the second half. The screen game seems to be starting to work (one of the things Ryan never was able to do even in his good years) which should take some pressure off of the run. They don't have anyone that can cover marshall 1on1 so that bullshit about 9 in the box is a myth. The moment they do that we just throw it up and let marshall take care of it. The patsies are also due for a let down. I know bellichick is the master of not getting his team too up or too down but noone can tell me they didn't have the game with colts circled on their calendar. We are their trap game. If the defense can hold up, I'm cautiously optimistic. Great post. I know Cro is as soft as butter, but I guess my logic there is he can out run a tight end all day as well as out length even one as gifted as Gronk. Either way I'm sure it won't happen so I agree you have to chip him hard at the line then hand him off. I worry that the Giants super bowl was a little different because they had that all world o-line coupled with Randy Moss and ran a lot of 7 stop drop plays. We would match up great vs that. Their new flag football offense really neutralizes the pass rush. Bowles wasn't afraid to run 8 in the secondary in Arizona. I think the Rex formula (in the playoffs) of flooding the zone and making Brady go to a second read is great on paper. I just hope they don't catch us out there with small personnel and run run run. I love the idea of coming out in a 4-3. Let's hope and pray to baby Jesus that Skrine is healthy.

Taking the counter, Bowles has a lot of momentum going into this one. The Four Horsemen are big problem for the Pats. They can punch #29 in the mouth; something new there. Edelman will look good but he'll get his ass beat; his routes will be the ones the J E T S force him to run, if Bowles stays smart. 11 is in for a long damn day; bank on it.
PatFukTX should not enjoy this one

I was actually thinking more about how the Giants played the pats in the SB rather than the Pats offensive identity. I want to see lot of nickel out there and as long as the front 6 is Mo-Snacks-Leo-Shelly Davis-Harris are playing their usual game I don't care if they think they're catching us small and running they're not getting anywhere. I actually went back and checked How Bowles did as a DC against the patsies but it seems he's never played them in Arizona or Philly. It'll be interesting. I think our offense, in particular Marshall is going to come to play. And if I remember correctly the bills with Chan and Fitz used to give the pats fits when they were with the bills. And say what you want about his noodle arm but Fitz can read a defense I'm expecting a very high scoring game to be honest with you. If we keep them in the teens I think we win this game.

My ultimate concern is that regardless of how improved this team is, how much Bowles deserves Coach of the Year (premature, but we should all revisit after week 12), or how well played the game is, the Patriots will cheat and likely win. How many holding penalties aren't called against them? How many times will the ref *physically* push a Patriot into legal formation to prevent having to call a flag on a field goal attempt? How many illegal formations and picks will they get away with? We've reached a point where its not "haha what a fun rivalry they always seem to get away with this stuff" anymore. It's more "are you serious. are you kidding. Still? Really? Its been over a decade now come on." The Patriots generate profit though. The NFL legally has the equivalent of a religious institution's rights. They legally have courts affirming that they are "entertainment" and not "sports". I provide the below: " The Sports Bribery Act of 1964 which was passed to protect the "integrity" of sports from mafia and gambling interests. It reads: "Whoever carries into effect, attempts to carry into effect, or conspires with any other person to carry into effect any scheme in commerce to influence, in any way, by bribery any sporting contest, with knowledge that the purpose of such scheme is to influence by bribery that contest, shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both." The key word in this law being "bribery." If a league instructs one of its employees -- be it an official, coach or athlete -- to influence and/or manipulate an outcome in a certain manner, such action does not break this law." www.thefixisin.net/theproof.htmlYour narrative is painted. Regardless of having been on physical record with evidence of cheating since 2007, the Patriots will go on an undefeated season to be called "The Revenge Season" for deflategate. Even if you get it on tape someone from the NFL will smash the tapes. The only thing that the referees can't stop? Sheldon Richardson snapping Tom Brady's leg in half. Please Satan, answer my prayer.

The Jets as they are currently built, cannot afford to fall behind. If they fall into a hole early, Fitz has to throw the long ball and that's where the mistakes come.
Relying on the run only would be a disaster. Belidick will stack the box, the run game will not be as effective. They will have to take their shots and hope that the jet's receivers are not fumbling their way towards ecstasy.
Breaking news, the Pats, are very good. The only way the Jets win are if they cut out turnovers/drops/fumbles and they put pressure on Brady. For the jets it's play action, misdirection, a mix of run and pass. The key is ball security here without going too conservative early.
If the Jets manage to put pressure on Brady and protect Fitz against Chandler Jones and company, then we will have a competitive game. If they make stupid mistakes early or go too conservative early, they it's the Eagles game but facing a much better qb.
