So it seems most people are really confident we're going 5-3 this Sunday. The Jag Wires put up 34 points on the Bills' defense. Granted the last, winning TD came after a totally bogus PI on the Bills' CB, but we get those all the time too. Maybe you think Rex's defense blows, but ours hasn't really filled me with a lot of confidence lately. Please, explain how we are going to crush the Jag Wires

Im probably betting hard on Jacksonville will decide tomm. I posted in other thread so im the wrong guy for this discussion. But basically well here is what I think not typing again
You got a guy with a weak arm to begin with and torn ligaments in the thumb on the non throwing hand. If the box was stacked before Jesus its going to be a fucking Greco Roman Orgy on that line. Not the kind of QB that can produce out the shotgun handoffs are going to be painful every snap is going to be painful and if someone goes for the strip which they will and comes down full force on that hand...What the fuck ever I respect him for startig they better have a back up activated and he better be taking as many snaps as fitz. A smart man would bet fucking jacksonville in this game especially if the jets are a favorite. I didn't do my picks yet but this just screams BET.

I'm not confident we will win... In fact I think we'll see multiple QBs and that's never a good thing. The defense may be the biggest underachievers in the NFL. It's like the slightest wiff of success, these guys just fuckin chug their own Kool Aid and piss themselves.
TBH I gotta wonder what the fuckin deal is when Sheldon is in there. Sounds fuckin crazy i know, but we've always had a much stronger group without him. So bizarre. Could be a total coincidence who knows. I don't even know what to think.

I actually think the Jets will fair well on Sunday. Will feel even better if Mangold plays. When it comes down to it, the Jets are the better team/roster and are at home. Add into the fact that they just got embarrassed, and a big reason for that embarrassment was lack of effort, I think we'll see a very sharp performance.
I know it's probably not a popular opinion, but oh well. Whether it's entirely to blame or only a small part to blame, but West Coast games like the Jets just had happen in the NFL quite often. They happen to teams better than the Jets sometimes at the hands of teams worse than the Raiders. The Raiders are solid. They aren't great by any stretch, but they aren't your typical 4-12 Raiders team that is just abysmal. Sometimes games like that happen. That isn't a true barometer for this Jets team(or the Raiders for that matter). It just happened at the worst possibly time as a fan, coming off the near miss against New England.
I expect the Jets to come out and play pretty damn well Sunday, and I think they'll over match the Jags.

Technically they scored 20 on the Bills D. Interesting. Wasn't paying close enough attention to know that. I guess Rex's defense isn't horrible after all? ::wink:: So the other two a scores came via special teams? I can see them doing that to our "special " (IYKWIM ;-)) teams

Lets see how good of a motivator Coach Bowles is accompanied by David Harris stepping up as a leader. While difficult to do against any NFL team, it would be quite a statement to go out and pitch a shutout v. the Jags.

Like every other game D must keep our inadequate O in the game more so than most, always a tall order. O has to help D not only with points but possession, field position where we punt from, turnovers, penalties, takeover the game momentum, score 6 not 3.

Bortles has an arm and their receivers are decent, I'm concerned about the deep ball with Cro and whoever is replacing Pryor.

I think the Defense comes out angry on Sunday. Bowles took them behind the woodshed this week...
If Mangold plays we'll win easily. If he doesn't all bets are off....

This is a broken record 7 years and counting... Not accurate this year. Jets offense is 7th in Yards per game and 11th in points per game. Stats can be misleading, but Jets offense is no where near a liability.
