Not sure why people want to get rid of Ivory and keep Powell. Neither is durable enough alone; we need both plus a third guy ( a real one not this Stacy Ridley nonsense). Like for real example Lamar Miller.
And Eric Weddle and the Chargers are headed for divorce for some reason. We haven't really taken care of that position.

Ridley and Stacy can get lost.

I dont think Snacks is going to be nearly as expensive as people think. We should keep him.
Try and move Sheldon. I think he could fetch a #1 but I would be happy with a #2.
Sign Mo to a long-term deal. I dont want to go through the franchising mess. He has earned a deal. Also gives us cost certainty (I learned that from Tanny).

I think they are likely to franchise him after the injury.

I thought Gilchrist had a really good year. And I'd love to add Lamar Miller.

mostly agree with the draft and free agent decisions. they do need to get a corner or two. imo milliner needs to get the chance to play before launching. i'm not sure if bowles just doesn't want him or he's not fully recovered from his injury. same thing with macougal. if those guys do come around then the jet secondary is set for next season. antonio allen? for some reason i get the feeling that rex broke him. maybe not. he could be valuable backing up pryor. as for sheldon, immense talent but thus far his off field antics have been disruptive. let's see him play a full season under bowles bfore launching. i'm not for seeing the jets start bringing in more big name free agents. they lucked out with marshall. decker was borderline big name. revis maybe not worth the 16 mill but still very good and still comes to play. they really need to have some good drafts and get hungry players. We've been waiting and waiting for Milliner. He was on the injury list and missed more games after he came back from IR for the wrist. He can't get a chance if he can't get and stay healthy for a single snap. McDougle seems pretty fragile too. CB is going to be a position of need before long again. still, wouldn't it be nice to see if milliner cold at least perform like he did the last few games of his rookie season? the guy was very highly rated coming out of alabama and they usually produce some really good defensive players. i will certainly give bowles the benefit of the doubt about not playing him. i just want him to get a shot next season and go through a whole taining camp.

Adding onto all of this, for the love of god go out and find a serviceable TE. Amaro will be back next year, and maybe he is the answer, but we desperately need a big target to break up the middle of the field. This league is quickly more and more leaning towards TEs as offensive centerpieces - our offense did well this year completely in spite of not having a single decent option at the position. We were last in the league in TE targets, receptions, everything. Our success on offense will not last long if that trend continues. Enunwa showed promise in his hybrid-TE whatever the hell you want to call it role but he isn't the answer. Get. a. TE. maybe they can draft the alabama te and qb. the qb won't go that high. no telling about the te.

Sure it would be nice. But I don't think Bowles has kept him off the field, I think his injuries have. As soon as one heals he gets another in practice before he ever makes it to a game. There's no way to realistically evaluate him.

There's no way to realistically evaluate him. He's a total waste of a roster spot. He literally causes us to have one less guy on depth at the very least. Hes part of a problem and he needs to go. He will never last anywhere. Let him go handicap someone else or get a job in a rubber room.

Whoever said 10-6 was just as useful as 1-15, no worse, because you lose out on draft position (somebody somewhere said it), that's not entirely true. It helps the Jets in that it makes the team a "destination" . It's much easier to attract top talent when you're not a tire fire. Players and coaches who want to latch onto a winning team will be much more likely to agree to come coach here. We could have gone 12-4 with decent special team.s Think about it, we could have tied or won the division. What special teams coach wouldn't jump at the chance to be the difference maker in that scenario? Inability to attract top coaching talent was one of the main reasons Rex had such poor CS. And when Decker and then Marshall signed on people were very skeptical of their motives. Well now, someone might come here to actually be on the team rather than in close proximity to a TV studio.
