For those of you still emotionally scarred from this season, don't feel bad. Zero chance the Jets score more than 14 on Denver or Carolina's D. Not to mention, the Jets didn't have the pass rush to even make Cam or Peyton sweat.

Other than maybe the Texans (and I have my doubts), I don't think the Jets would have beat any of the teams in the playoffs.

We might have given Houston or Pitt some trouble, but no way we beat NE in Foxboro with Ryan Fitzpatrick throwing into the wind, or Denver's D on the road. Even if we miraculously won the AFC, we'd get slaughtered by Carolina. Cam would carve up the Jets defense all day.

Jets desperately need an enforcer in the front 7 like Denver and Carolina has. Compared to the Jets, they're just in another world with guys like Von Miller and Kuechly.
Sigh, so depressing.

I don't know about that... This is like you guys who say every single year that there's no way we can beat NE. I don't fuckin buy it. Although yes we would have lost the AFCCG, but only because we did something stupid to not show up. And yet still have plenty of chances we refuse to capitalize on. Cmon how long you been watching?

(i remember bowles doing something very similar early in the season and the jets lost). and just what would denver do on offense?

Fitz is extremely limited physically, and good defenses would load up the box and force him to make throws. Denver's CB's are good enough to at least somewhat contain Decker and Marshall. Meanwhile, Peyton would pick apart the shitty ass Jets pass rush. No way Revis would be able to lock down D. Thomas like he would have a few years ago. As for NE, it's Tom Brady and Gronkowsi. We don't have an answer for either. We got really, really lucky one game this year. That doesn't negate the fact that, like Peyton, Brady would pick apart the shitty ass Jets pass rush and Gronk would kill anybody we put on him.

Especially in the conditions that we would have played in @ Cincy in the WC round and then @ Denver in the divisional round. As much as I like what Fitzmagic is, compared to the last 10 years of QBs we've seen, he's not going to get it done in rainy, snowy or windy conditions. Believe it or not, we would have had a better chance against Den in the AFC Championship based upon the weather, then we would have had against them in the divisional round.

That's a no-brainer but I personally would of liked us to at the very least make it there.
