I trust Maccagnan. If he thinks Wentz is worth whatever he has to give up, that's fine with me.

The Kaepernick situation is going to greatly influence what the Jets can do. If the 49ers decide to keep Kaep, there only appears to be one team in the top 10 that is guaranteed to go QB.

i was thinking about this earlier. I even looked at a draft value chart. My first thought is that it is too expensive. If and only if the Front Office values him as a Franchise QB I think the only way for us to get the first pick is:
The draft value chart I looked at has the Titans 1st overall pick valued at 3,000 pts
so using that as a guide we have to offer at least:
1st rd, 20th pick this year (obviously) 850 pts value Mo Wilkerson (I gave him the lowest 1st rd trade value] 600 pts even if you give a high second rd value its 550 pts so I just went with 600 1st 2017 pick (i gave mid round value) 1000pts
These 3 assets are worth approx 2,450pts. So then we still would prob have to give something else in the deal. My thoughts would be another 2nd or 3rd but not sure what years - maybe even Brick.
I was trying to come up with a bunch of different scenarios but after just looking at the 2 first rd picks and Mo and still being short I honestly quit.
Here are our picks and the estimated values for people to play around with, no 6th round pick(Brandon Marshall):
Pick No. Est. Value Round 1: 20 850 Round 2: 51 390 Round 3: 83 175 Round 4: 118 58 Round 5: 157 28.2 Round 7: 241 1
Total value: 1502.2, yes the entire 6 picks so no Ditka move either. lol

Nope. There's not a franchise saving qb in the lot this.

How about trade back to the late 20's, pick up a couple of more picks (WHICH WE NEED) and draft Connor Cook, or out of the 1st round and draft Hackenberg?

Screw the chart.
2016 first 2016 second 2017 first 2017 third 2018 first 2018 fourth
That's probably what it would take. Titans have all the leverage, teams know Browns would take him at 2.
Having said that I would absolutely not trade up. Just pointing out what it would take.

Rams and Cleveland will draft QBs. RG3 is the short term insurance, but have no doubt that Cleveland is taking Wentz/Goff and Rams the other.

His freshman season was his best, then O'Brien left for the Texans and he regressed, then improved slightly his 3rd year. I read an article today that at the combine he was throwing Penn States coaching staff under the bus saying they didn't tailor the offense to suit his needs. The guy sounds like he got a little RG3 in him.

Nope...the price is way too steep. And while I like Wentz....he isn't the second coming of Elway.

I'd offer them wilk and 1 plus 2 from this year. If they don't want that they can kick rocks. With that deal they could theoretically trade up Staley at lt still have a 2nd and also have Wilkerson in tow. If they think jalen motherfuckin Ramsey is worth all that they can piss off
